I have a pair of the Dame Edna glasses. I gave them to my husband to take to work. He scanned them and blew it up on banner paper. He brought it home and used it as a templet. He traced it onto thin plywood and cut it out. Another lady & I painted them and put on the bling. We made the hat also with plywood and decorated it with material. The lips were made with heavy construction paper. We won second place. : )

You look like a Duchess!!!! A very good title for you. Since my chapter is the Royal Mixed Nuts, you can call me the Head Nut. That is most appropriate. I live in Bartlett, TN a suburb of Memphis. I have my first meeting this coming Saturday the 16th of The Royal Mixed Nuts. It is a little different from the usual names. Such inspiration.....LOL. Taking on this responsibility is unnerving, but I might as well give it a shot, nobody else will try. If I don't make it, that's OK, I will have a group of three. I am expecting about 16 the first time. Surprised me. I went to the National Convention in Las Vegas, took my Mom to St. Louis and then to Nashville, Dallas look out here we come my daughter, a "Pinkie" and I. They are having that Hats, hoots and Haunts thing in Savannah in October. My DH said he would drive me. Since we are both retired, he might as well. When I take off with a new "gal pal" he said he would get a cigar and sit at the bar and watch the show. He has no idea what nonsense we can get into.
