After 4 years of being a " Lady in Waiting", I am finally a true Red Hat Lady!  Woohoo!

It seems like this has been a very long journey for me and I am very happy!  My Reduation included a "Bridging Ceremony" in which I walked across a local bridge here in town with 5 other ladies from my chapter with stops included as they each read a Red Hat Reduation poem to me.  It was wonderful, despite my fear of heights!

    I will post pictures later.

    Happy Red Hatting!

    Happy 2009

Saturday, January 3, 2009, 03:03 PM CST [General]

Happy 2009 to all my QMB2 Friends!  I can't believe that's it's January already.  A time for new beginnings and adventures for us.  I will reduate in just 2 months and 2 days.  That is something I've been looking forward to since I joined the RHS.  It's finally just around the corner!

I am sitting in the great room of my second home up in Cook, MN right now, watching the snowfall.  It's been snowing for 4 hours.  I need to get outside and take some pictures, it's really amazing to see the huge piles of snow we have here.  We have accomplished quite a bit of work here in '08.  I even was able to paint walls!  It's the small things in life that make this whole project worthwhile.  Now the question is will we ever be able to leave the Twin Cities and live here?  With the economy like it is, there are no jobs to be had in this area, so we'll have to stay put for a while anyway.

    Here's to a fine 2009!

Thank you Rhonda for your comment about the lampshade hats. We had so much fun making them and then modeling them was a hoot! Have a wonderful weekend!! Queen Pinsy Patsy

I love the background behind you. Was that at a convention?

    Rhonda,

It is a small world! I was in New Hope, MN for 6 weeks and was trying to find a Red Hat group to visit last August and September. It would have been great to visit with your group.

    Happy Red Hatting,

    Lynda
