I am completely and totally head-over-heels in love with my niece and nephew.  (Pictured below with their mother)

Looking through the pictures I received today it struck me how the differences in the poses showed the differences we also have with other people.

Some see a calm and sedate side.  The side you're supposed to see.

Other times, people let their hair down and relax.

Here are the real joyful dolls that I'm lucky enough to see.  I get to see the real characters, the real wild and crazy, lovely people that they are.  They enjoy life and are very happy people.  They bring me up and give so much love simply by being themselves.

How lucky am I to be on the receiving end?

How blessed am I to know them for their true selves?

Don't you wish you could say that of all the people you know?

Well, that you think  you know. . . .

How whimsical - not to mention lightweight - is that?!

No, I didn't make the one pictured but it is the inspiration for the one I'm about to make.

Just a cute, clever, one-of-a-kind something that will travel easily.

Of course, I'll make it in the appropriate colors and am considering adding some crystal dangles from the different circles.

Can't you see this as a chapter event?

Everyone just brings the fluffier type of pipe cleaners and it's a hat making class!

There really is no wrong way to make it.

A couple of bobby pins to hold it in place and you've got the most original hat around!

I'll be sure to post pictures as I go and hope to see some pictures of YOUR version of this hat, as well.

Among those originally invited to try QMB-2 by Hatquarters I gladly accepted and created this spot. 

I stayed around for a bit but decided that the original QMB was more to my liking. 

This spot has been vacant for quite some time. 

Consideration was given to deleting it however something just kept me hanging on to this little plot of land.

A startling discovery was then made.

Why was I expecting flowers to bloom when I had yet to do any gardening?  I'd planted no seeds yet lamented the lack of foliage.

So here I am with my garden trowel in hand and a packets of seeds near the watering can.
