There's a new Queen in town...and it happens to be me--Queen La-TEA-da ANN the Grand Duchess of Dark Chocolate.  The Royal Court from the Queendom of the Sizzlin' Sundance Red Hatters in the Land of Arizona put on a FAB coronation celebration truly fit for none other than the "Queen."  There was plenty of pomp and circumstance including a red carpet, beautifully decorated royal throne, a stunning crown, a custom made robe, sceptor, bouqet of roses, sparkly queen pin, and royal "gifts" from each of the members in attendance.   Some of my favorite were the "over the shoulder boulder holder" bra purse and the "maxi-pad" slippers bedazzled with jewels!

As music selections from Vivaldi filled the ballroom, the entire red hat Queendom glutinously feasted on gourmet culinary delights made by each of the ladies.  After much ado about everything frivolous (hee-hee), the induction of the Queen of Vice, Members Pledge and other celebatory ceremonies, the celebration concluded with a scrumptuous red hat coronation cake.

Come take a peek at what the hoopla was all about....photos from that event and others are on Picturetrail:

HI Queen La-TEA-da! Thanks for visiting my blog. I am so new to this, it's not funny.
Having trouble getting the hang of it and I'm not to sure I like it better than the QM board. But oh well, progress.....
Anyway ~ Thank you for your kind comments!
We used an old patio umbrella, covered it with a red plastic table cloth. Had to use red duct tape day of parade though as it was so windy~our staples didn't hold! LOL We sure had fun. We used some floral netting I had for the ribbon on the hat and really large purple and red silk flowers. Mostly everything was either stapled, saftey pinned or duct taped. If ya need any more info, just yell and I'll try to fill you in.
    RH hugs,

I'll have to check a map to see where Buckeye is. I spend the winters here but am really from British Columbia, Canada.
I belong to another group in Canada but started the Canyon Vistas' Vixens when I arrived here. We are having a great time and even took part in a 50's-60's parade last week.

    Hi Queen La-TEA-da,

Welcome to the world of "queening".
    It's lots of fun.
I know you will enjoy it.

Get ready for the increase in your traffic over the next week with the Super Bowl coming up. I'm staying away from that area.
