I am reading that the QMB1 will stay alive and active. This is all I have ever wanted....so....I have finally decided to post only on the QMB1. I have a lot of problems here on the "2"..both technical and personal. The technical I can't help but the personal is another matter.
When I tried to join at least one group, I was "told" the members would VOTE on my admittance and if I passed then I would be invited in. Nope, not for me! On the QMB1, I can go wherever I want and to visit with all the sisters regardless ~ to me that is Red Hatting. I am looking for Red hat sisters,,,,not friends, best friends,etc....just wonderful red hat sisters.
I know a lot of you LOVE the "2" ..but hope I will run into you on the "1". No hard feelings, I just feel so much more welcome over there and it is much easier for me to post. So, not saying, goodbye ... just till we meet again!
HELLO! (no goodbyes)

Well, I almost gave up hope last evening at "doggie school". Molly just would not cooperate. I took her out of the circle and we had some "time out". It was so funny...she did not want time out but to be in the circle with her school buddies.
After five minutes, I let her back into the circle and she was brilliant. I mean she did everything she was asked without a single treat. She just waltzed around with hattitude!
I guess she showed me!!!!!

Well, I missed posting last week as I was getting ready to go on a trip to Kentucky.
Miss Molly did very well last week. We changed places and got away from the St. Bernard "puppy". Even though Molly won't do her "homework" she shines in the class. I am beginning to think she is a show off.
Yesterday, our 4th lesson, was a long one but she got through it with flying colors. She can now sit and stay - 2 minutes, stand and stay - 2 minutes, heel and sit immediately on stopping. When she sits she looks up at me as if to see "see, I can do anything I put my little mind too" and I find that she certainly can.
Her "best friend" in the class is a "puppy" great dane. My goodness, but that is one tall dog. Molly looks for her each week and goes and greets her.
I guess we are getting our money's worth after all in the classes....and I am getting exercise with all the walking....snurk !

I gave Miss Molly 3 -15 minute homework lessons every day since Lesson No. 1 last week and she just was not "getting" that she was suppose to sit when we stopped walking. She just would NOT do it. She would stand still and lift one paw...cute but not what was required. The Pup has definitely got an attitude problem...she sits in the house all the time when she wants a treat.
When I arrived last evening at the "school" I told the teacher she just would not mind and she just kind of laughed at me. She told me to take her for a lap around the room. Well, I did and you guessed it....she sat EVERY time I stopped...I didn't even have to give a soft jerk to her training collar.
Then Miss Smarty Pants walked over to our chair swishing her little bottom...so funny...she knew exactly what was going on.

Well, Miss Molly had her first lesson at Dog obedience school. Not sure she realizes that she is suppose to LEARN something or not.
The lesson was teaching them "heel" and "sit". Well, she heels fine but sitting is another matter. She likes to "stand tall" and for a Dachund that is not good for her long back. Now she does sit at home when ask but definiltely NOT when she is suppose to....
When they had us trotting along the mats heeling and sitting, a big St. Bernard was behind us. Poor Molly got faster and faster and keep looking over her should at that St. B and then looking up a me, seeming to ask "What is THAT behind me". I got out of line and moved over to better location where a couple of smaller dogs were lined up.
The trainer told us that for the first 3 weeks in will be bedlam (and believe you me, it was) and then all of a sudden things will drop into place. I asked if we could just skip over to week 4...
So, we have been practicing every day...maybe we will get a C+ on our homework.
We go again on Wednesday...so we shall see what we shall see.
