Ladies!

Please read the message sent to all my friends...and to our Community.

Hatquarters is being struck by this miserable economy just like the rest of us!  On Sunday evening our EQM revealed in Savannah that the "State of the Sisterhood" was this...a financial worry that has caused layoffs of staff, closing of one building and the possibility of all they (and we all) have worked for to keep women enjoying life after 50!

If you were there or know somebody who was please ask for the information.  The Purple Perks plan was supposed to enrich all of us--members for the benefits and Hatquarters with the funds to keep the ship afloat!  The truth is that only approximately 16,000 women have taken advantage of the plan!!!  If everyone joined Purple Perks we could help tremendously!!  I think there must be close to a million women enjoying being a Red Hatter--and they should all be dues paying, card carrying REAL Hatters....no "wannabes".  They do not support our cause by not supporting Hatquarters....Please do not purchase their products or allow them to pretend to be registered Red Hatters!  They hurt Hatquarters and the hurt you!

Preachy, aren't I?  I feel very strongly about this so I am suggesting something I call the "Give A Buck" Rescue Plan.  If everyone of us, our VQ's and all Chapterettes would put      $ 1.00 in an envelope and send it to Hatquarters to the "Red Hat Society Rescue Plan" we could all be helping to save what we all hold so dear!!!

If you have any questions about the situation you should call Hatquarters...or talk to anyone who was there...or even contact Deb Granich our COO.  Either way---help is needed NOW!

PLEASE help--if not this way then some idea of your own...let's just get it done!
