I Can't Belive It's Another Year Almost Gone!
Seems hard to believe that another year has almost rolled by. So many things have changed in a year! We have made history this year with the election of the first multi racial President, watched over a Moose hunting "soccer mom" who obviously would like to run for THAT seat in four years, have not seen the end of a war that should be done and over with, have watched our economy crumble AND have seen the surviors...not the TV show but THE RED HAT SOCIETY!! It just goes to show you that you can't keep a good woman (many women) down! SOS!
Yes, I see a better year coming. I'm always hopeful that someday a change will come. As a Queen I always put on my best smile and, when asked what I would like to see, I give my best pagent answer...WORLD PEACE! I hope I see it in my lifetime. Many people have forgotten or don't even know -- 30 years ago John Lennon said it best..."Give Peace a Chance". I hope that we see terrorism destroyed and a new day for so many suffering people in this world. Hope and prayer seems to not be enough these days...we must need more! For our families, our friends, our neighbors, our country and the world.
That being said, I'm ready to hit the beach! It's seems to me that, as I mature, my tolerence for the cold weather has rapidly declined---and I find myself asking "What the hell am I doing here"?? My RHH concurs. Gone are the days of snowsuits, snowmen and sled riding! Bundled like we were as kids, seems like I just can't wwear enough clothes these days! Mom should be here to put me into the snowsuit, boots and gloves that allowed very little movement but kept me warm! A bit like the little boy in "The Christmas Story"...if we went down we couldn't get back up and had to roll for help! LOL! Just thinking about that makes me shiver and add a pair of sox.
I want to take a second and mention that our Sister, Queen Bunni , lost her beloved husband Sanford recently. My prayers go to her and her wonderful family. Take a look at Bunni's page.
And, in all, I wanted to wish all my Sisters the Best Christmas EVER! Thank you all for your friendship and love. And, of course, a MUCH better 2009! Wishing you all health, happiness and a little prosperity, too! Support each other and the RHS! God Bless us one and all!
