I've been out of circulation for awhile. I'm back.
In March, my mother had lung surgery for cancer. She was in the hospital for 12 days. She has since recovered.
Life is almost back to normal.

I've been on stacation this week. My oldest step-daughter & her 4yr old son were here for a week. We had a good time. Rocky & Kyle became "best friends". I have the name of "Grammy"

By now all of you ladies have read the RHS Friday Broadcast. I hope you read the section titled "Nominate a Sister" I read it several issues ago & thought about it after the North Florida Regional "Big Event". I thought of one Red Hatter that was deserving & should be honored. I nominated the organizer of the "Big Event". Chichi Banks of the Red Hat G.R.I.T.S.. Here is what I wrote:
Nominate a Sister
The nominations are in! Here's another one of our favorite stories! Queen Kelly Licciardi of the Radiant Red Rubies (Jacksonville, Florida, United States) says,
I would like to nominate Queen Mother Chichi Banks of the Red Hat G.R.I.T.S chapter from Jacksonville, Florida. Chichi is loved by all Red Hatters from Florida to Georgia and beyond. She organized the big event recently held in downtown Jacksonville, while learning she had cancer. Three weeks before the event she had cancer surgery. She showed up for the event in good spirits as you can see in the photo. Chichi is the greatest, and is an inspiration to everyone that knows her."

I am now over the hill. I turn 51 today. My gift to myself is taking a day off from work. Friday starts the "Big Event" at the Hyatt Riverfront in downtown Jacksonville. My friend & VQ of the Wild Wacky Wonderful Red Hatters will be getting a room at the hotel. I arranged to get a Limo to pick us up & take us to the hotel. It helps having my husband work for a limo company. I'm looking forward to the weekend.
