That's a saying that we hear a lot, but I wonder if it is true?

I'm certainly older, but wiser? Awww, maybe not. More cynical? I think so. I wonder how a person can be on this earth 68 years and still be naive. I'm referring to trusting people and friendships, the golden rule, etc.

I had forgotten that the Red Hat Society is made up of just people. People from all walks of life and situations. People that don't necessarily join full of love for all sisters, no matter what their personalities are. Sisterhood? Is there really such a thing? Do women automatically defend other women? NO! I should have known that. Do I regret joining this group of women ~~ NO I DON'T!

I will continue seeking the friendships of my Red Hat Sisters.

 Make new friends, but keep the old...

One is silver, the other is gold..

I remember my mother writing that in my autograph book.  I think it is a very wise saying.  I love all my friends, but you know how it is, you may not love your old friends the best, but you've certainly loved them the longest. 

We have such a unique opportunity here on the QMB to make new friends, almost every day.  I treasure your friendships and I treasure you.
