Last Wednesday, the 11th, my Red Hats group "The Red Hat Treasures" put on a wonderful celebration for my 50th birthday. What a great event it was, complete with a hat shaped cake (moist & delicious) and a poem read by Queen Mum Sharleen. She then presented me with the most beautiful red hat encircled with red feathers. All the ladies said that the hat suited me and I was quite lovely. Then my Social group called the Flaming Flamingos held a celebration this afternoon and presented me with a red wool hat with a purple sinamay(sp?) bow. It was divine! I've had two beautiful celebrations and it's not even my birthday yet! I am sooooo blessed!!! God is good & life is wonderful!
Red Hat's has made me look forward to turning 50. I used to dread it, but RHS has me looking forward to wearing new colors and new fashions!
Tomorrow morning I will wake up and finish packing the last of essentials for my big trip. I'm so excited, I'm not at all sleepy. I've been putting up my signs for my farm on Farmville to let everyone know not to send any gifts to me (Facebook game). Everything else is ready except the last of my personal effects, my medicines, toothbrush, make-up; everything that I need to use in the morning first and then pack. I guess I better go to bed and TRY to get some sleep. It seems as though the second hand is slowing ticking away. Can't it go any faster? I'll make a cup of tea and then try to get a few winks. Will talk to you ladies after I get back. Thank you to all my Big Sisters' for wishing me a happy 50th birthday. May you all be blessed with a wonderful and Happy Thanksgiving! Big Rhinestone Hugs!!!

Hi Dee: Happy Birthday, may you enjoy many happy years of Red Hatting. Having only turned 50 and reduating in August I know how it feels to finally don red and purple and not feel like the youngest.
