    (Queen) Carol Ann says:
Let’s gather in our gazebo while (Queen) Puppymomma reads our Let's Meet At The Gazebo's REDuation Pledge.

    Puppymomma reads:
I do lightheartedly swear on my pink hat
That I will do my best to uphold
The spirit of the Red Hat Society
With a Let's Meet At The Gazebo's hattitude

    Carol Ann reads:
Let’s all lift our teacups and read our toast:
We are the Red Hat Society’s Let's Meet At The Gazebo’s members,
    We are Royal,
    We are 50!
    We salute old friends
    And friends who are old.
May our friendship stay forever young.
The Royal Ladies of Lets Meet At The Gazebo

    Carol Ann asks:
Puppymomma are you ready to REDuate?

    Puppymomma answers:
    Yes

    Carol Ann reads:
Please stand and walk through the pink hatter’s arch.
Today I remove your pink hat and replace it with a chapeau in red. I now drape purple over your shoulders. The color we wear as we grow older. Carol Ann tapped Puppymomma with a rose on both shoulders and her hat and handed her the rose. REDuation is complete this day, Friday, July 8, 2011. Puppymomma is ready to come out with the big girls and PLAY.

A "REDuation" is a ceremony for a Pink Hatter who, upon turning 50, REDuates to become a Red Hatter.

The Red Hat Society's First REDuation Ceremony:

16 June 2001, Garden Grove, California, Pink Hatter Laryl was given her first red hat with a little fence and twig by Dianne. These symbols are included in the poem by Jenny Joseph that inspired the
    Red Hat Society's beginnings.
