We had to cancel our last gathering due to two deaths in two family's in our group.  We have all carried on now and are having another gathering at the Tudor Rose Tea Room.  We have one new member coming and a Red Hatter from California coming too.  Can't wait to get together with my new friends.

    My First Blog

    Thursday, February 12, 2009, 9:27 AM [General]

As my children grew up and left home I started checking into the Red Hat Society.  At that time, I would have been a pink hat.  There was not one in our community in Alaska at the time, so it went on the back burner.  Then my late husband and I moved to Hawaii.  When I turned 50 I thought great now is my chance.  Well it did not happen due to his death.  Back to the back burner it went again.  Then I married a British man and moved to England.  We are now settled in Bebington on the Wirral across the Mersey from Liverpool.  I told a few people about the Red Hat Society and they thought it sounded like fun.  Now I have just started our chapter the Red River Girls.  So finally I have moved it to the front burner and am trying to get it organized.  So wish me luck.
