About Me Oh how I hate these catagories! Ok, I love to laugh, have fun, be a bit crazy from time to time, and love to wear my bling.

I am old enough to know better, and old enough not to remember what it was that would have gotten me in trouble, lol, but if you will remind me, I will give it a shot!

For me,family, friends, and my faith are what really matter most.

Interests Well, duh, Red Hatting, buying bling, getting my little business going, visiting with friends and being with family.

I love "reading" books on CD, since I am in the car so much, art, especially impressonistic, visiting my grandsons as much as possible, (now that they live closer), pretty much anything centered around family and friends.

Hobbies Oh dear, not enough room, money or lifetime left - SHOPPING, collecting teapots and teacups. Decorating my red hats, did I say buyng bling? I love to paint, oil then pastels, acrylics, and pencils. I need to take a good watercolor class and hope to soon. I am getting into jewelry design, love sewing, all handcrafts, decoratin this old house, playing on the floor with my grandsons, and not screaming owww! when I try to get up, going to lunch with friends, scrapbooking and some cardmaking (just starting that one), gardening- back when the back and knees would allow, flower arranging, and now I guess, blogging, lol.

Music Almost all kinds except heavy metal, acid rock, head-bangers rock, and most RAP.

Favorites, "Unchained Melody" and "The Dance"; "Old Rugged Cross" and "Amazing Grace".

Of of course are our classics, now known as golden oldies or moldy oldies - just wait until "Korn" is first played on a classic rock station and see how these kids like it, ROFLOL

Movies Fav - "Gone with the Wind" was my fav book, and DH took me to see the first re-release since the original, in December, 1967 for our second date. It was such a beautiful movie, and later, he proposed to me, after one and 1/2 weeks of dating. Said it wouldn't last and that was nearly 40 yrs ago.

Others, "A Christmas Story" this time of year - reminds me of my past.

TV Present - Grey's Anatomy, CSI, NFL Football - go Cowboys!!! anything on HGTV and the FoodNetwork, Extreme Home Makeovers - that's about all I can think of at the moment - I don't watch a lot of TV right now.

Books "Gone With The Wind" "Grapes of Wrath", Bible, most of the Classics, Southern Living Cookbooks, non-fiction and biographical - I like to read, period.

Likes Grandsons when they have had a good nights sleep and I have too, lol. Chloe, my princess puppy. DH; warm feet; super soft, fluffy extravagant beds; great chocolate; hugs; bling and more bling, real or fake; midnight services at Christmas and daybreak service at Easter; my computer (my son keeps updating or just making new ones for me); my large monitor the boys got me for Christmas last year; brisk fall weather; soft, cool spring weather; the first bulbs of spring pushing up and opening; the last of my antique roses, hanging on in December, until the first hard freeze; friends who stand by you, believe in you, when others let you down; Elvis; CHOCOLATE; raspberries...walking in cool grass or a babbling little brook - barefooted; sound and smell of the ocean; sitting near a waterfall; walking in the woods and hearing the leaves crunch; sleeping...

Dislikes Dishonest people; people who manipulate others, and take advantage of those who are too trusting; gossips; people who need to put others down, to lift their own self-esteem;cruelty to children or animals in any form; people who are so perfect they will not forgive the failings of others; my personal weaknesses; bad hair days; a sale that really isn't; bad food at a banquet, yuck; liver, dbl. yuck; eye makeup that runs or burns...Gee I didn't know I had so many dislikes!!

Vices Uh oh, I don't usually divulge those, except the ones already listed under likes, Chocolate, Shopping, especially for glitz things to add to my already too big collection, especially rings, and that is Gotrocks fault, lol, and just eating in general, especially if I didn't have to cook it :o) Plus, I got a big Texas sized mouth and talk too much and too loud :0|

Virtues I strive to be an honest, loving, and caring person. I hope others see me in that light. My loved ones and friends do. If others give me time and get to know me, I hope they will see a Christian women with a good heart, who never wants to intentionally do harm to anyone. Sometimes, something with come out of my big mouth, all wrong, but when it does, I hope others give me the chance to apologize, something else I consider a virtue. I have no problem accepting responsibility for my mistakes nor apologizing for them. I want only the best for everyone, and have only rarely met someone that I couldn't get along with. Even then, I don't give up easily. Hmmm, maybe that one isn't such a virtue as much as just hard-headedness.

Family Jackie, DH, married almost 40 years - late high school sweetheart, lol.

Chris, 38, works for an international architecteral firm. If you have seen the animation of the new Dallas Cowboys Stadium and what it will look like finished, you have seen his work.

Matt, 35, pediatric anesthesiologist at a Children's Hospital in Texas. Also, just had his first research paper published while at Vangerbilt in Nashville, TN on "Anesthesiology In NeuroSurgery on Infants and Children" - I sort tried to read some of it, lol. He is married to my darling DDIL Amy, and has my two grandsons, Michael -6, and Sam-4. Expecting Hannah Grace, special delivery from China in the spring, please Lord.

I have no siblings, only one dearly loved Diva of a SIL, who has been the greatest sister in the world to me.

Good News QMBers, Reunion II with Gotrocks!

Great News to all QMBers. SinCityPat has just announced that sweet Gotrocks and our dear Charles will be welcoming us back to Wichita Falls next May, 2009 for the QMB II Reunion.

I am so excited, especially for those who wanted to come last year and couldn't, and always for everyone to get to spend time with Queen Gotrocks.

This years event will strictly be a reunion, no birthdays, etc. Just time for all of us to be together, laugh, have fun, visit, all the things we just never have enough time to do.

I know Pat will arrange another fantastic event for us. This past one was the best event I have ever attended, truly. There was such a special feeling in that hotel - I can't wait to experience it all over again.

The Texas Tea Trampers are gathering - look out!

I am soooo excited - another fun gathering to anticipate!

For a while now, Tex and I have been talking and grumbling about all the fun Jet and the Tennessee Tea Trampers have. We finally decided WE wanted to have that much fun with special Sisters, just like they do.

So, taaadaaaaa, the Texas Tea Trampers will have their first official gathering on Valentine's Day (how appropriate, getting together with sisters we already love from the QMB) at the Chocolate Angel Tea Room. Now, what better place to begin this voyage into sweet sisterhood and pure indulgent fun, than in a tea room named The Chocolate Angel!

So let the good times roll, and the laughs, chocolate, and wonderful friendships and memories to come.

I'm like Tex, what day is it?

Wow, after all of the goings on, it is like having jet lag!

We FINALLY got to Austin to see our son, DDIL, and grandsons - on Saturday. Talk about keeping Christmas going. We had our gift exchange Sunday morning, before church. Papaw and Mimi hit the top spot with our choices this year. Both boys declared our gifts as their favorites and then proved it by playing with only what we gave them for the whole time we were there. We got the oldest a game disc for his new Nintendo DS and he declared it "his coolest one". Since Sam, the youngest, hadn't gotten anything like the Nintendo, we decided to get him the Leapster version and a "Cars" disc. We thought that if Michael had his to play with while riding in the car, Sam needed something similar to play with also. What we didn't know is that one of the neighbor hood kids had gotten one from Santa, and Sam had just loved it.

So, when he opened his gifts he was elated that Mimi and Papaw had gotten him just what he wanted but hadn't asked Santa for...yeah! Success in the gift department for both.

We had a wonderful but tiring time. I miss those hugs and kisses, rubbing those little backs and just watching them, but I am also glad to be off the air mattress and back in my own bed, lol. This cold front was coming in, and my old bones were griping big time.

When we made one stop to stretch and take care of other needs, I found my first little Webkinz, and now I am hooked. I promised to keep it under control, at least until I get Christmas and taxes paid, but they are awfully cute. I got a white terrier puppy this time so my next one has to be a frog - Michael collects stuffed dogs, Sam loves frogs.

Yesterday, our oldest son came for dinner and we had our black-eyed peas. He isn't crazy about them usually, and will just eat the one bite I insist on for tradition. However, last night, he said they were really good and ate a fairly large amount. Shock almost knocked me out of my chair!

I hope all of you had a great holiday and as much fun as I did. Now, I think I am going to take a nap. All of the fun has worn me out, lol.
