Well, the first year started of with 3 of us. We still are not big in number only 7. But..we found two other chapters that we play with on a regular basis and have learned alot from them. Through them I learned about a few websites and the queens council, so i could get emails for upcoming events in our area.This past weekend we went to one that was about 150 ladies. It was wonderful...we never imagined such hats or ever dreamed of so much bling. Ladies were wearing bling on the front on the back, we danced to line dances, sang karaoke, shopped the vendors, ect. It was amazing how friendly the other ladies were. We had wonderful food...and although during the first year I got discouraged along the way I can say it was well worth it and I am so happy and proud to be a Red Hat sister. If you are a new Queen and you are a small group find another group in your area..they will teach you how to do things and tell you about upcoming events and before long things will get going in the right direction. So are any ladies from North Carolina going to participate in the World Wide Hoot? If nothing else we can meet inRaleigh at the capital or nearby...If anyone wants to do something let me know....I know you are out there some where ladies. Lynnette

Well, our number is small but we had a great time. Ist of all we got all dressed in all our red hat regalia. Then we decided to start the evening by going to a retirement residence and recruit new members. We had fun talking to the ladies and we left some brochures.Next we went to the Good Will...I must say Crafty Lady Linda got the best find a lovely red purse trimmed in purple....she also got a couple hats she was going to turn into red hats!!! Jerry got a lovely top with tags still on it!!!After leaving there we went to the library...I got the new Fannie flagg book...Then finally we went to Chilli's to eat, of course we started with dessert and then had our dinner. It was a very nice nd entertaining meeting. Alot of people looked at us and smiled, some knew who we were(red hats). Passed out a few more brochures and went home.

Quite a lovely tea room here. Is it active? The dates are a few years ago.....or perhaps we can call it  a time travelling tea room...That would be quite a thing who would you have tea with?
