Shirley was a member of our group when she pass on beyond the vail. She was a high spirit lady, who enjoy restaurant dining and having fun. I met this women on my job yrs. ago. She had always had me laughing, she made coming work worth it. When she started having medical problems, she had to retired from the job. She was 69 yrs. young. Her daughter work ther too, who happen to be in my age group. Would ask about her mom all the time, and miss her around the work site. When I had decide to start a RHS group, she was one of first person I thought about getting her to join. I got to know her daugther better,(by the is my vice queen now) and try to talk her into trying the RHS alone with her mother. It was hard to get them started, because they had never hear of RHS, I know right. But they did join alone with a few others from the job, and my mother-law. Shirley was the last one to pick a royal name, like 3 mos. then she can up with Princess Shalay. She said, that when she was not having cocktails, her name was Shirley, and when she was having cocktails, it was Shalay. I thought that was funny, but it fit. In that three yrs. we got too know each pretty well.Shirley left us April 7th, 2011, at the age of 73. May 11th was our 3rd Anniversary, So it was hard to do this without her. This was the day we gift each other, treat our selves to the best meal money can buy. And it was very hard for my vice queen, which did well. Below is a few pictures of Princess Shalay. We will miss her.
