    Saturday, December 29, 2007, 12:42 PM [General]

I want to wish all of you a Very Happy, Healthy and Wealthy New Year.

Well for me I know I'll be in Bed Dreaming of a New Year filled with lots of fun and laughter. Those days of staying up till 12 with a glass of Champagne are over for me. Staying up pass 11pm is a chore. I need my beauty sleep.  I toast to all of you wishing you the very best for 2008.

    My Christmas E-Mail

    written by Unknown

I have a list of people I know, all logged in my computer,
And now at Christmas time I have gone to take a look.

And that is when I realize that these names are a part,
Not of the computer they're stored in, but of my heart.
For each name stands for someone who has crossed my path sometime,
And in that meeting they've become the rhythm in each rhyme.
And while it sounds fantastic for me to make this claim,
I feel that I'm composed of each remembered name.

And while you may not be aware of any special link,
Just meeting you has changed my life, a lot more than you think!
For once I have met somebody, the years cannot erase,
The memory of a pleasant word (or E-mail) or of a friendly face.
So never think my Christmas E-mails are just a mere routine,
Of names upon an address list, forgotten in between.

For when I do a Christmas E-mail that is addressed to you,
It's because you're on the list of people I'm indebted to.
And whether I have known you for many years or few,
In some way you have been a part of shaping things I do.
And now that Christmas has come, I realize anew,
The best gift life can offer is meeting people like you.

I got it done at last.

    Thursday, December 20, 2007, 6:35 AM [General]

Well I got all the shopping done. Thank Goodness what job is finally done. I even got what I wanted for Christmas.  I got an Nintendo DS in Red with a Red Carrying Case and some Brain Games for it to play and exercise my brain. My son-in-law, to be had one and was showing me how it works and I loved playing with it he was telling me how it helps him keep his brain sharp. Now I can't wait till Christmas to play with my new toy.

It will come in handy to keep that Brain of mine turned up.

    Promise Yourself

    Saturday, December 15, 2007, 6:39 AM [General]

I got this in a Christmas Card and wanted to share the good advice.

    Promise Yourself

To be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind.

To talk health, happiness, and prosperity to every person you meet.

To make all your friends feel that there is something in them.

To look at the sunny side of everything and make your optimism come true.

To think only of the best, to work only for the best and expect only the best.

To be just as enthusiastic about the success of others as you are about your own.

To forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future.

To wear a cheerful countenance at all times and give every living creature you meet a smile.

To give so much time to the improvement of yourself that you have no time to criticize others.

To be too large for worry, too noble for anger too strong for fear, and too happy to permit the presence of trouble.
