FibroFriends Newsletters now posted in the Forum

Friday, May 23, 2008, 10:26 AM PST [General]

I've been a busy little beaver this morning!
I all of a sudden realized, although I'd been keeping
the newsletters posted up-to-date at the old QMB,
I hadn't posted any in the Fibro Support Group
over here for a long time.

I've posted two months of newsletters in the Forum
of the *Gutsy Gals Fibro Support Group*  here at this site.

This is a private group, and you must be a member
to read anything posted in it, either in the blog, or Forum.

    IF you are a member,
please click on this url to read the newsletters.
    http://www.qmb2.com/gutsygalsfibrogroup/forum/viewtopic.one?id=126931

This should take you right to that thread.
If not (not sure how this works over here),
just click on the FORUM, and you'll see the Index:
Click on E-Newsletters, and then -News from fms-help.com

    There are newsletters there
from March 12 to May 15th.

For those of you who are not a member
of this totally private support group,
but would like to become a member,
please message me to join, and
I will send you an invite.

We also have another Fibro Group,
for having some FUN & friendship!!
Click on this link to join:

We'll be starting this up "officially" in June.
You may participate in either or both groups.

Hope to see you posting in the forum!!

    I'm STUBBORN... LOL

Friday, May 16, 2008, 11:35 AM PST [General]

    I'm stubborn!! LOL

I figured out how to make blog posts
in my groups (and sites)... the "easy" way!

    Use "Internet Explorer" !!

That works GREAT for paragraphs, etc,
    that go "flooey" with Firefox.
Maybe it's just my comptuer... but, whatever.

    I'm back...
    for about an hour. (g)

Still got a REALLY busy week ahead of me..

    See you all... next week!!

    Mitsie
off to be several people at once (as usual... lol)

    Testing... and STRESSING

Thursday, May 15, 2008, 05:49 AM PST [General]

I have spent the past TWO hours trying to send out a welcome that was READABLE to my other ID (Mitsie). Going back and forth, trying to figure out how to get RID of that teenie tiny print in our emails, so I could read them without straining my eyes!!

I CAN'T READ this small font without a magnifying glass!! My eyes.. have been bad since I was FOUR years old!! I've worn very STRONG gl**** since then, too. I got called "4-eyes" in school.... and frankly, I don't think I could read this font even WITH four eyes!!

    DID YOU KNOW?
Now when we send messages.. we have a CHOICE of font sizes to use!!

    Heading 1

    Heading 2

    Heading 3

    Heading 4

    Heading 5
    Heading 6 (RIDICULOUS!!!!)

And of course, your regular "paragraph" form. Which when you're typing up your draft form, you CAN READ. It's when you receive it, that it's at a size 5. With the "heading" choices, that makes it BLACK and totally HARD to read!!

I've been sending out welcomes to newbies, and enjoying it. However, I just CAN'T do it anymore, with all of this "heading" gobbly****. It's waaayyy too hard on my stress-level!

ALL WE WANT.. (HQ are you reading?) is to have the SAME size font that there is at the old QMB!!

    WHY IS THAT SO IMPOSSIBLE?????

And now, I want to type in SIZE 3, and it WON'T DO IT. It does the paragraph BEFORE THS ONE.. and I want THIS one to be that size, not that one!!!!! Sheesh!!!!!!!!!

Yes, I'm frustrated! I just get a handle on something, and then it changes! Plus, I've now got a tension headache, and eyestrain.. and starting off my day at 7:30 with a chocolate cookie to try to combat the headache (and teeth grinding...) isn't a GOOD way to start my day, nor is it a way that I WANT to start off any day!!

WHAT I WANT at this site....

READABLE font.. JUST LIKE WE HAVE AT THE OLD QMB

IN OUR EMAILS, IN OUR BLOGS, AND IN OUR FORUMS.

IF THIS SITE CAN'T GIVE US THIS... THEN FIND ANOTHER SITE THAT CAN!!!!

    Mitsie

    tired of "testing"...

    SIGH

What is IT with these ****'s??? I DO NOT SWEAR. I should be able to describe what I wear on my face (e y e g l **** e s ) ??? so that I can read books, and I should be able to post g o o k without it going into *'s!! What so wrong with gobbly g o o k anyway? That's not a swear word, in fact, it's a much nicer term than CRAP.. which is what I was thinking of.

ALL I want is to be able to post and email without staining my eyes.

Is that so hard to work with?

    Please.

Doing another "Test" here... blogging font sizes

Wednesday, May 14, 2008, 02:05 AM PST [General]

Well, on my "Mitsie" site, I did a blog about new twins and triplets.. using the

    Heading 5.

Which WAS VERY LARGE... and now, according to the new "options" is NOT!!

That means.. I have to go back to all of my old blogs where I'd made my annoucements about twins etc.. in all of my groups I guess, and change the BLOG posts from the old heading 5, to the new heading of...

    Heading 1

    Heading 2

    Heading 3

    Heading 4

    Heading 5
    Heading 6.

    Hmmmm.. this is using "Firefox".

However, using Internet Explorer.... the Heading 5 looks "normal"... but it doesn't here.

I think they're trying to "fix" the font in the forums.. by messing with it in our blogs.

    LOL. (I think).

I don't believe I'll make any more changes to anything, until this change lasts longer than a few days... typing "regularly" and being "read" with all programs (i.e. Internet Explorer and Firefox") is more important than using large fonts to make my announcements... I think.

Off for a cup of tea and a muffin... maybe I'll pour hot chocolate sauce over it.. need my chocolate early today!!

    LOL

I did it! I figured out something new!

Tuesday, May 13, 2008, 03:45 PM PST [General]

I figured out how to catagorize my friends!!

It's kind of "tricky"... you have to repeatedly click on the "catagorize" until the name you've chosen of the catagory and the little check mark in the box, are both there at the same time.

    I chose for my "catagories"

    1) HQ

    2) Sent (meaning the ones I'd sent a welcome message to)

The remaining ones with "none" under their names.. are the ones I've yet to welcome.. but I will be doing that over the next day or so, in between pricing things for our yard sale on Saturday.

I ALSO figured out how to move names to the "Best Friends" catagory, and it was kinda fun!

Not that I really "believe" in this "Best Friends" stuff... my best friend is my sister, and she's not in the Red Hat Society. However, it certainly was fun dragging "Mitsie's" avatar (picture) all over the page, and then "dropping" it into the slot where you're told to drop it.

LOL. Small things.... amusing just the same.

Well, it's time to go for a walk in the lovely dusk of the evening, before the mosquitoes come out for evening "snack". More testing to do tomorrow!! What FUN this is!!

Don't forget.. to check out my other blogging site (Mitsie) for the newest Birthday match-ups!

    http://www.qmb2.com/birthdaytwinsprogram

    http://www.qmb2.com/birthdaytwinsprogram

I remembered to add the qmb2.com to the link this time... LOL

Hmmm.. the top one, didn't go "live".. but when I did a copy and paste of my site, then it did....

more ?'s about this site to figure out.... tomorrow. (lol)

    Mitsie

having some "marvelous" fun here at this site!!
