    Meandering along... with Mitsie

Let's meander... along with Mitsie.. usually several days late! LOL
Just call me... meandering along, marvelously late.. as usual!!
I'm usually late.. for whatever I go to. I don't wear a wristwatch....

Can I blame it on that?

    LOL
I'll be back.. to post the reasons why you should CELEBRATE every day.

EVERY day in YOUR life is SPECIAL!!

    Here are some reasons why....
    To Follow (after lunch)
I'm NEVER late when food is around.... LOLOL
See you in a mintue.. or two
    Mitsie
Well, I had a DELISH "lunch".. only called that
because it's lunch time! I eat 5 or 6 small meals a day...
it's a good way to keep your weight down..
IF I wanted to, which I don't.. but... there it is.
I had fresh baked haddock, with a dab of butter, and
fresh parsley, boiled potates with another dollop of butter..
and a sprinkling of herbs over top, and.. a double fudge
chocolate donut with chocolate frosting on top for
    dessert.... LOL.

How have you all been, over the past week?
I "meant" to get here to post the "special" days.. but ..
two days out of the week were SUNNY and reasonably
warm (i.e. in the 50's) so I was OUTDOORS.
The rose bush has BUDS. So do most of the trees..
    minute buds, but buds, never-the-less!
The beach was beautiful... dark blue water, bright blue sky...
white sand, lots of rocks... and I wore my winter coat
and boots. Had a GOOD walk though.. chased away
the cobwebs from a long winter's "hibernation" and the
    last remaining wisps of depression.

That's my week... how was yours?
Did you celebrate being alive *every* day?

Here is a list of what you "could" have been doing
(if I'd posted the info, that is.... )

    24 -  eating chocolate .... on
    *National Chocolate Covered Raisins* Day
How many eat chocolate every day anyway?
I DO!! I don't need a "special day" to do that in!
25th - more food! Pecan Day / Waffle Day
26th - Spinach Festival Day (food?)
Make Up Your Own Holiday Day
(we can do that.... ANY day!)
    27th - National "Joe" Day
Everyone who hates their name can be called
"Joe" this day... any Joe's out there? lol
Yesterday (28th) was "Something on a Stick Day"....
    popsicles, fudgesicles.. MORE food!
Today .. there is no special day listed.
Let's call it... "getting caught up to date with everything
we're behind in...day". In other words... "Mitsie's Day" (chuckle)

Upcoming week? Only TWO days... and then it's April!!
    30 - I Am In Control Day
(I like that one... just let me tell my hubby ... LOL)
31 - Nat'l Clams On The Half Shell Day (more food!!)

    Birthdays to Celebrate.....
do you share your birthday with a "famous" person?
    Let's see.....

    24 - Harry Houdini (1874)

That goes along with what I found on another site....
Festival Of Smoke and Mirrors Day

IF your birthday was on March 24th...
nothing should be impossible for you to accomplish!!

    Anniversaries to Celebrate..
this past week (after all, we're in the Red Hat Society,
    and WE celebrate... ALL month!!)
and the few days left in March......

25 - Pancakes First Made (New York - 1882) (Food)
    29 - Coca-Cola was Invented in 1886 (mmmmm)
30 - Alaska Purchased (From Russia in 1867)
how many red hatters from Alaska?
    30 - Pencil with Eraser Patented (1858)
Yahoo! I use a LOT of eraser when I do sudoku puzzles!
31 - First Map of the US Published
Anyone doing any travelling within the USA?
Give thanks for the map drawerers.... lol

There you have it, March all wrapped up.
I'll be back.. likely on April Fool's Day..
to post the Special Days to Celebrate, in April.

Be careful though.. I'm a CLOWN, and
clowns just LOVE days like April Fools Day....

    LOLOL
Mitsie, feeling MARVELOUS.. the SUN is SHINING!!!

    It's .. EASTER weekend!!

Friday, March 21, 2008, 06:21 AM EST [General]
    Posted By: Mitsie

Here I am... LATE again with my posting!!

It's EASTER week.. and I've been really busy,
    making preparations for the weekend.

For me and my family, we're celebrating this weekend...
I serve a Risen Saviour!! He's in the world today.....

For other ways to celebrate over the next few days....
here is a short list.. I'll be back on Tuesday to list
what special days there are left in March.

Yesterday was the First Day of Spring.
we had RAIN, but it was WARM(ish)
    You could also have celebrated
    National Quilting Day.... and Purim.
For the kids, they could celebrate
    Big Bird's Birthday
    (Sesame Street Character)

    Today, is Good Friday.
It is also... "Fragrance Day"... and
Children's Poetry Day ~ Chinese Lantern Festival ~
National Teenagers Day ~ Single Parents' Day

    Tomorrow (the 22nd) is ...
    "National Goof-off Day"!!
"National Sing Out Day", and "Eastering Saturday".
We're supposed to have a cold sunny day..
hope everyone else has sun too.
It's not much fun to go "Eastering" in the rain,
but the kids don't seem to mind.
They're not as "fussy" as we are.. LOL.

    Sunday is EASTER.
    For me... it's
    Sunrise Service, Breakfast, a Cantata...
dinner with my family, visits with various
family members, ending up with Evening Services.

According to the "Celebrations Calendar" it's also
"National Chip 'n Dip Day" and "Toast Day"

Monday the 24th is "Eastering Monday".
It used to be a store holiday here, but is now
    just a government holiday.
They're also doing a "Survivor Marathon"
    on TV all day... LOL.
    It's also....
    "National Chocolate Covered Raisins Day"
and the birthday of  Harry Houdini (1874)

No matter how you celebrate the upcoming weekend,
may you do so with a SMILE on your face, and
    GLADNESS in your heart!!

Here in Canada, it's *March Madness* Week ~ SPRING BREAK!!
My parents are going south, some of my friends 'are' south,
my nieces and nephews are in various places throughout the world..
    it's TIME to TRAVEL!!
Those of us who are house-bound.. we travel another way..
    through MOVIES and TV.
    LOL.
I've spent the week watching shows about IRELAND!!
    This week is ALSO... about
getting ready to celebrate the "Wearin' O' the GREEN".
Are YOU going to be dressing up in GREEN on
St. Patrick's Day?? I know I sure will be!!
There are (of course) OTHER ways to celebrate this
    coming.. er... current (lol) week!
    Monday the 10th was....
Festival Of Life In The Cracks Day
    LOL
That sounds like something we should celebrate ALL week!!
    We can also celebrate ....
Johnny Appleseed Day, Alfred Hitchcock Day,
    JEWEL Day (today!),
    tomorrow is... (ta da)
National Potato Chip Day!! Whoo Hoo!!
(nah, I'm not hooked on chips..
I just HAVE to have a handful every day... LOL)
I get a kick out of Saturday's "celebration"
"Everything You Think Is Wrong Day"
BUT, Sunday puts it all back into perspective!
"Everything You Do Is Right Day" !!
I like a day like that, the BEST! lol
The 17th is St. Patrick's Day!
    It's also
"Submarine Day". Take a ride in a green submarine.... LOL
OR, eat a submarine sandwich, filled with healthy GREEN veggies!
Whatever way you spend the next week....
spend it in a celebration of...LIFE!!
