About Me Long ago, in a land far away (west coast), a little girl was born. Much to the joy of the her parents, she grew up to be relatively normal. You can believe that is quite an accomplishment since she is the only sane one of her siblings (3 brothers).

As she became older, despite her brothers' attempts to prevent this, she learned more about the world around her. For instance, no - you can not walk through walls (no matter how many times you try) and yes - you really will get bit if you try to stop your cat from doing Pilates on your desk.

With all of this new found knowledge, she went in search of the wonders of the world. But before she could complete her journey, she discovered the Red Hat Society. Since then, she no longer has any time left to go discover the wonders. :)

Interests Cooking, Friends, Movies, Reading, Red Hat Society, Subeta, Theatre, Thimbles, Travel, Writing, in general my interests vary. Usually anything that strikes my fancy at the moment. I like trying new things. Doesn't guarantee I will like what I try, but at least I can say I've done it once. -- Unless, of course, it's something that can cause my death such as hurling my body off a bridge with nothing but a giant rubber band tied to my ankles, placing my faith in the idea that the rubber band won't snap. :)

Hobbies I'm a digitabulist and an amateur criminologist. I also collect pigs, cats, shot glasses, theatre memorabilia, thimbles and dust bunnies. :)

Music I think I enjoy a little of each genre of music. I tend to lean toward music that has a quicker beat to it though.

Movies I like comedies, horror, Disney, etc. Basically, whatever genre will best fit my mood at the moment. lol

TV Top Chef, Top Chef Masters, Top Chef Just Desserts, The Walking Dead, Haven, The Killing - these are probably the shows I make the most effort to see.

Books I LOVE to read. I am trying to expand my tastes to include things I've never considered reading before. However, I am not a fan of sci-fi.

Likes My Lord and Savior - Jesus Christ, God, My Family, Our Troops, People who like to have fun and prob more things I can't think of now. lol

Dislikes PEAS! Rude bossy people, People who drive through parking spaces and I'm sure there is more. lol

Vices Swearing, biting my nails, spending too much time at home.

Virtues Compassionate, likes to help others, likes to have fun :)

Pet(s) Gilbert - black and white tuxedo cat - 15 yrs old in May - enjoys knocking things off counters, hiding in boxes and kitty treats.

Oscar - orange and white tiger striped tabby cat - 11 yrs in July - enjoys feathers, flushing toilets and cuddles.

Myrrah (pronounced Mer as in mermaid and ah as in ahhhhh) - gray furry mass - 10 yrs old in July - enjoys lots of affection and chasing/playing with anything that happens to be on the floor.

If you're like me, I love handbags...especially red, purple, pink and lavender...AND if they are blinged out...I'd probably pass out. lol

I was looking at Facebook when someone brought my attention to these cool purses. So I thought I'd share the site.

First RHS Meeting!

I went to my first meeting tonight and I loved it! I was really nervous at first, but felt more at ease as the night went on. We had supper and then played a speed dating like mixer where we have to meet a new person every 3 minutes. That was really cool. The funniest thing was just before I went into the mall, I was worried about being able to find the group. I should have known that would NEVER be a problem for Red Hatters. lol I also found it funny that people were looking at us as they passed. lol

So now I need to find some pink hats. And also figure out how this thing works. :P

And while I am thinking about it...how would I go about posting a request for pink hatters hand me downs?

Ears

I just had my ears pierced several days ago. I can not even descibe how much they itch right now. lol 4 to 6 weeks before I can actually scratch them. :P

Other than that, it's kind of a relaxed day here. Yucky weather I suppose. But nice and cozy inside. Makes me want to go back to bed and just nest under the covers. :)
