Sizzlin Red Hat Weekend in Erie, PA

    Wednesday, April 30, 2008, 3:28 PM [General]

Have to say we had the best time at the Red Hot Mammas' Sizzling Weekend in Erie, PA. These gals put on a first-class, first-rate weekend. 5 meals including h'orsdeuvres on Friday evening, Mimosa breakfast buffet on Saturday morning, buffet lunch with salad, cold cuts, cheese, fruit, breads at noon on Saturday; tea in the afternoon with cookies & little deserts; a hot (and the food was hot) chicken or fish dinner Saturday evening. Sunday morning was another buffet breakfast but this time with an omelette station, a carving station with ham, and a waffle station - wonderful. After breakfast a local dinner theatre put on "Nunsense", and honestly, we laughed so hard we had tears in our eyes, this troupe was so good.

Saturday afternoon had dance class or corsage making or the casino or splash lagoon for activities to take part in.

The theme was the Oh, Donna, Prima Donna Academy Graduation Weekend. There were "nuns" roaming the halls with their rulers in hand, ready to hand out detentions and scare the bejeebers outa me, lol.

Saturday evening's graduation dance was with a 50's and 60's live band, got us up and rock and rolling.

All in all, a great time, oh, and not to mention the fabulous shopping - clothing tis ax free in PA.

    Hello in QMB2 land

Well, I made it, have to take more time to check this new board out.  They will drag me screaming and kicking into the new technology, but eventually I will "get it" and like it, lol.

Hi Dee, Thanks for being my friend. Hope to see you real soon at one of the Old Bag Tea parties. I think they are so much fun. I am making plans to ask all my sweet queen friends about having a multiple Reduation Party. Since my Coronation was such a great success aboard the Showboat on Lake Ontario, I thought it might be interesting to gather our reduation candidates from several chapters and give one massive party for them, using the nicest Reduation ceremony we can find, and do it up good. What are your thoughts? Do you have anyone who will reduate this year? The tickets are around $50.00 each, and that is a great meal, d.j., misc. reduation gifts, and great cruise. Your friend, Paulette (lady Marmalade)
