About Me My noms de plume on the QMB are Lady Tiffany & Penelope Plume.

In "Hudson Valley Violets" every member after five years of membership is inducted into her own personal Order. She receives two Order Pins (including a hatpin) and a Title/Nom de Plume/Order Certificate. My Order is the Order of the Feathers which is the most ancient and noblest Order.

I am also Queen of the "Queen Bees" and invite you to read my comments which list my other three QMB2 Sites, thirteen QMB2 Groups, and the two Queens' Councils that I founded and host.

I am in charge of Hattie the Traveling Hat which I am currently retiring.

Place your right hand on your "Red Hat" and your left hand on

your pocketbook.

I, ___________________________ do solemnly swear on my "Red Hat" that I will do my best to uphold the spirit of the Red Hat Society.

I greet this age of "mental pause" with verve, humor, and fun.

I take my silliness seriously, as it is the comic relief of life.

In the Spirit of Friendship and Sisterhood, I join my Red Hat and

Pink Hat sisters as we go for the gusto together!

Beneath our frivolity, we share a bond of affection,

common life experience and a genuine enthusiasm towards the future.

I promise to regularly practice having fun, do those things

I have waited to do, while I paid my dues in life, and wear jewelry

til I fall over.

I promise never, ever, to wear knee highs with sandals

and to dispel the notion a Woman My Age is Old!

This I pledge in the spirit of the Red Hat Society as envisioned by

the Exalted Queen Mother Sue Ellen Cooper and with

a Hudson Valley Violets' hattitude!

Hi Carol Ann: I used to live in the Hudson Valley. I was in the AF at Stewart AFB, NY back in the 60's. My son was born at West Point Hospital in 1965. I lived in Newburgh and Washingtonville, NY. It seems so long ago not that it is 2009. Wow!! I am getting old. I love the Red Hat Society and our group do 10 things a month, including at pot luck every week at my house. My group is called Rhody Red Hatters, Warwick, RI. Happy Red Hatting.
