well here it is--March--still winter--although we have had a few warm days--I see a few spring flowers peaking up thru the mulch here and there--and the urge to buy seeds and clear a space to start a garden is getting strong--of course the ground was much to wet here.
dh and i spent a week with his mother in Florida--i would have loved to stay longer--except I missed my grands and of course need to work--anyway we got to walk on the beach and went to the Grant SeaFood Festival---the weather was beautiful--
Diva Diane and I are signed up for a Queens Council in Louisville at the end of the month--hope we get some ideas--to energize the Zingers--

Potato-Tornado
Well we survived the storms--my 4yo grandaughter says we had a "potato"--the local HS had major damage--but they got the kids back to school today!!All we got at our place was hard rain and high winds-
The Zingers are going out for a spot of tea next Saturday--I am looking forward to it--Hope this new Bonneville movie comes to our area soon--it sounds good--Winter activites are always harder for me--I hate to go out in the cold!!!
My grandchildren are here this week and we are having fun with them--They will be with their mother most of the time after this as their Dad has a good job opportunity in Fla--he will have them for vacations--Divorce seems so hard on them--at least my ex-dil is saying we can take them some weekends--I am going to try to arrange fun things to do--on those weekends--zoo, strawberry picking, ride a local excursion train!!--help me with the garden--
WEll this is my second attempt at updating my blog--the last time my whole windows system closed off--have no idea why--
Well this Saturday 4 HRZ's attended the annual Hospice (Hosparus) Tea--this is the kind of charity event we like to do--we decorated a table in the Oriental theme--main theme was tea thruout the ages--I think it looked excellent--we had 4 other ladies join us and had an excellent time--because most of us have or have had jobs in the helping field (social work-nursing) this has been something we have tried to do--attend charity events in our community--playing a low key role and having a good time-
A sad thing happened this week--one of our honorary members--Carol T--passed away--she has been poor health for the past 3 years and was only able to attend meetings periodically--she did get to attend last years Hospice Tea--our thoughts and prayers are with her family.
I am looking forward to spring--thinking of planting a 3 Sisters Garden along with sunflowers and my usual tomatoes and peppers--can't wait till the weather warms up--plan to peruse the seed catalogs this afternoon--
I've been visiting a couple of times a day--I have read some excellent tutorials on the old QMB-Margalit,Mitzie, Saundra--I thank you all--I still don't feel like I know what I am doing. As in real life--I am cautious--I have some friends--I am accepting of anyone who asks--but truthfully I am not sure how to ask or that I will be accepted--I was amazed at the number of groups that have started--many have only one -member--I only hope that this will become as easy as the old board for me--just some thoughts.
Welcome to 2008--how many of you are making resolutions??I plan on keeping it simple this year. Eat oatmeal every morning!! Walk more (that might not be a whole lot) Learn more about my computer--including how to post pictures on the QMB2--and have more fun!!Hope you are all having a great day!!cc
