Hattie's Travels

I've just posted two photos of Hattie meeting the Rundle Mall bronze pigs in Adelaide, South Australia during her visit in 2006.

Perhaps others could share some of their Hattie photos.

Re: Hattie's Travels

Hi Queen Puppymomma,

Three recipients added to the weight and cost of Hattie after me. I sent Hattie to the next person by UPS, which is less expensive than the United States Postal Service and I put everything in one box. If you and the shipping service are careful, you can use the same box that Hattie arrives in providing it is in good shape. The UPS cost to send Hattie from New York to North Carolina was about $12 on 13 September 2007.

The last recipient of Hattie should know the recent shipping costs. If you wish, I'll send her E-mail address. The present Queen is taking Hattie to a few events and probably will be adding to the overall weight. Recipients sometimes add memorable articles to Hattie's baggage which also adds to the weight.

Reducing Hattie's baggage takes away from the enjoyment of seeing and reading about where Hattie has been and with whom.

If you want to reserve Hattie, I also know who has Hattie now and can send you the present Queen's E-mail address.

If you go to a big event with Hattie, don't be surprised if the ones in charge ask you to come up to the microphone and speak about Hattie's history, where the hat has been, and where it is going.

The Home page of this Blog indicates a URL and if you click on it, there are fifteen pages of information about Hattie. Present day information is on page fifteen.

Photographs can just show the hat and new pins that have changed Hattie's appearance. When Hattie was in my possession, I rearranged her pins trying to separate them by States and Countries. Sometimes the address is displayed on the back of a pin.

Postcards, photographs, etc., are added to Hattie's calendar indicating RHS events.

Re: Hattie's Travels

Luv the photos in the two photo galleries. Great work Carol Ann.

It's soo nice to see all those badges. Hattie has certainly gained weight since her visit Down Under in 2006.

Re: Hattie's Travels

Hi Queen Puppymomma,

The experience of having Hattie is enjoyable.

Currently, I'm editing Hattie's Gallery, which means that I'm temporarily moving photos around, so any pictures that are missing will be replaced.

Re: Hattie's Travels

This is a great site, Carol.  Thanks for starting it.  After having had Hattie in my possession for such a long time, I know what all you are talking about.  She IS fun to  have.  When I get time, I'll try to dig out photos of her visit to Texas and the Dallas Divas Slumber party. I  have one with Whoopte-Do (when her leg was in the cast) and Hattie that is really cute.
~~~~~~~~
P.S. In fact, it just dawned on me that on my site in "My Photos," there is a small shot of me with her on my head.  She doesn't show up really well, but THAT'S Hattie with all the pins !!
Also, have we heard from Hattie's REAL owner lately?
Re: Hattie's Travels
Hi Bling-Bling,
Thank you for the compliment!
I can't wait to see your photographs!
No, we haven't heard from Hattie's owner. I don't know anyone who has heard from Janice. It would be nice to have a JPEG of her that I would add to Hattie's Gallery.
Re: Hattie's Travels
That is "Whoop" holding Hattie.  I do not have a picture of Janice. The picture was taken at the Dallas Divas Slumber party in September of 2006. Hope this clarifies everything.
Re: Hattie's Travels
Hattie arrived safe and sound in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. Queen Kathi put Hattie to bed after her long trip from Morris County, New Jersey and Queen Iris.
I think Hattie is going to have an exciting time!
Hi Pat,
I would like to meet all of you, but I've been so busy that I'll have to settle for getting to know members online.
Have fun and say hello to Hattie for me.
Re: Hattie's Travels
There are brand new Hattie rules for reserving Hattie listed in my posting on Web page 24 of the QMB's Hattie thread called "Travelling Hat Arrives In.......!"
I posted using one of my two usernames Penelope Plume.
Re: Hattie's Travels
Hattie arrived safe and sound early in the morning in San Antonio, Texas on the first of October 2008. Her hostess was Queen of a Qwik Ditty (Angie).
Hattie went to the Big Purple Undies Show and Mall Treasure Hunt.
On Tuesday the seventh of October 2008 Hattie left for Laughlin, Nevada and arrived there in two days. She was picked up by Lady Godiva (Karen) from Sydney, Australia.
Hattie attended the Tri-state Tea in Laughlin, Nevada.
During Hattie's stay in Nevada Lady Godiva gave Hattie to Queen of Dance (Janet) so that several local chapters could take her to a range of events in the Las Vegas area.
Before November 11, 2008 Hattie is going to be  with Queen Sparkling Rose (Faye) in McKinney, Texas.
Hattie will be attending "Denim and Diamonds" in Texas.
Re: Hattie's Travels
Hattie has arrived in great shape here in McKinney, TX.
Her next event will be to go to the "TX QMBers"  get together in Granbury, TX.  There she will get to tour the charming city and go on a Riverboat ride.
Back in McKinney, she will be honored at my chapter's anniversary party on Nov. 26th, the next Queen's meeting and several other events during the holiday season.
