FED UP!!
Okay, I kept it quite cool when I got over here, and couldn't read the font in the forums.. this minute size (not the current henscratching without Firefox).
I kept my cool when my emails were in this tiny font as well.
I kept my cool when I couldn't line up and have a nice looking blog post, without writing it up first in a draft form, so I could hit enter and have it only go one space, instead of double-spacing.
I kept my cool when the HUGE "NETWORK FORUM" appeared in our forums, turning OUR use into henscratchings.
And, I kept my cool when I was trying to figure out how to post blogs that could be read with BOTH Firefox and Internet Explorer (yesterday).
HOWEVER..... I HAVE HAD IT!!!!!
I can't even EMAIL now without having to mess with either TOO SMALL font (this size) or TOO DARK font this size in black heading or HUGE sizes that are TOO big on one program, and just the same on the other.
GIVE US A BREAK!!!!!
ALL
WE
EVER
WANTED
WAS
FONT
THE
SAME
SIZE
AS
AT
THE
OLD
QMB!!
[b]IF THIS SITE CAN'T give it to us, then FIND ANOTHER SITE that can!!!
little purple icon with tongue stuck out that is only (for some reason) available at the old QMB!!
I am TIRED of trying to get newbies to post here, and the others from the QMB to come join this site! I've started off two VERY good days.. stressed out, and I just CAN'T do it anymore!!
I've got a yard sale to get ready for on Saturday, and now I have a major TENSION headache, likely from gritting my teeth so much.
I've done ALL I'm going to do... now FIX IT!!
And yes, I'm going to be messaging my comments to the QMB2 Diva and anyone else I can think of that MIGHT listen to me.. AFTER I've cooled down some.. likely about in a weeks time!
sigh

Re: FED UP!!
WOW Mitzie. I haven't had any problems with the type size other than when someone's site is in dark purple its hard for me to read. I use IE at home and firefox at work and I can't tell the difference. Maybe I'm one of the lucky ones.

Re: FED UP!!
Mitsie, when I switched to Firefox, I discovered that the Ctrl/Scroll thing worked for me again. Could you possibly have set that in motion so that your font is small? Try holding down the Ctrl key and rolling your scroll wheel. See if that makes a difference in your font size.

Re: FED UP!!
Not sure, Tex, but I think ONEsite's tweaking again. Apparently we can change font size in the (email) messageing system now - where we couldn't before. THAT is what's driving Mitsie crazy.
And the HEADER sizes in BLOGS has reverted to what it was before fonts here got messed up (I think). HEADER 1 used to be HUGE, header 6 was teensy and now it's vice versa .... or the other way around... I'm confused.

Re: FED UP!!
I am blessed that I don't have a text size problem with FF or IE.And I'm so very sorry that poor Mitsie is being stressed out... She is the one who's working so hard to promote Q2 and this has to happen to her, of all people. This is one of those times in life when it is just unfair!
I've changed the background on my site because I couldn't change the text color. I wish I could help MItsie with her problems as easily as i corrected my site problem.SInce nothing else has worked, now I'll pray for MItsie.,

Re: FED UP!!
I'm MUCH happier now than I was before!!
Thank you for your prayers, Bunni!! Much appreciated.....
I have just spent (wasted) TWO hours joining Face Book. SIGH
I HATE IT
However, I joined a local Committee to raise funds for a Playground here on
the Hill, and the chairperson keeps in contact with everyone through their
group on Face Book, so I had to join, IF I wanted to know what was going on.
THIS SITE IS A PICNIC in comparison!!
I'll never complain about this site again!!
LOL![]()
Actually, I've managed to "cope" pretty well here. Maybe I shouldn't say that,
as they may start "tweaking" again.... hope not! Unless it's to fix the font here
in the forums so that everyone can read it......
I write my emails and blogs using "Internet Explorer" and
I read the forums and post in the forums... using "Firefox". ![]()
Off to have lunch. I've sat here at the computer for TWO hours while I tried
to figure out FaceBook.
Onesite is SO MUCH BETTER than Face Book! (and you heard it from the
horse's mouth.. just as long as it's not the other end.....
)
LOL

Re: FED UP!!
Morning ladies - I'd love to join in the chat, but am at work and the font is so small I can't read it... Guess I'll wait until I get hom to my own computer where I have no problems with font size!

Re: FED UP!!
Sitting here tonight.. FINALLY able to read the font!!
DH installed Windows XP this weekend, and there is a larger font...
and I can FINALLY read what I'm typing, and what is in a thread, and what
I've posted!! ![]()
I don't know if the QMB2 site has been "tweaked" again in my absence of about
a week... or if it's due to my computer's new operating system.
However, I'm just GLAD that it works!!
Too bad I don't have any free time now to "play" on this site.. but I don't.
All tied up with oodles of December and Christmas "stuff", for the next few weeks.
However, what I am FED UP with.. is a question I asked in another thread,
has NEVER been answered! Even if someone doesn't KNOW the answer,
it would be nice to have my question acknowledged.
Is anyone reading this section at all?

Re: FED UP!!
My last question was asked:
2008-11-30 00:42:49
It's now 2011-03-04:whatever
and my question was not answered in the past 2 1/2 years!! ![]()
Anyone from HQ on this site at all????
The font is still small, the emails are still teenie tiny font, and making a blog
post is impossible to read unless you use a heading (size 2 is my favourite).
However, when you hit the enter button in a blog post, it double spaces
instead of like here where it's just a single space.....
AND, the BIGGIE... it takes days and days and days and DAYS for our blog
posts to even show up on our pages!!
(sigh)
By the way, I'm on Facebook in a BIG way, and I LOVE IT!!
1) Loads FAST
2) Photos easy to load
3) Font is of a size you can READ
4) Blogs (posts) show up seconds after you post them
5) Groups are easily accessible
6) The site is... used by more than a handful of long-timers who put up with the glitches here because they like being here.
I'd be here more often... BUT:
this site is soooooo slooooooow to load for me! Likely because...
it's filled with dead weight (groups whose owners are long gone),
plus hundred's of members' sites/vidoes/photos.... who are also long gone.
It's very discouraging... like a ghost town with a few "olbies" hanging on.
Don't get me wrong, I like it here... when everything works the way it's supposed
to do, and there are people to talk to.
Otherwise, I'm at the QMB1, Facebook and chatting with my friends via emails.
What I'd like to SEE here on the QMB2
1) A clean up of dead groups:
i.e. those whose owners have been blocked from the RHS; or are deceased;
or not a member of the RHS any more
i.e. didn't renew their membership. After all, if they can't support the RHS,
why should their groups still be on an RHS site?
2) Instant blogging capability:
A few of us are on here, if not every day, then every other day, and we can
certainly let HQ know if there is someone on here who is spamming
i.e. like I did last Summer. I'd even check every day to make sure that no-one
is spamming, or that no men are joining... just to see that our blogs show up
when we make them!!
3) Small font fixed ... nah, that's likely not available, so scratch that.
I'm just asking for #'s 1 and 2.
When "newbies" come to this site, all they do at first is blog.
Then they wait for contact from others who're using this site.
Sometimes, they find a group they want to join... and then (in most groups)
they wait and wait and wait and wait and wait (you get the picture) for someone
to join in with them in that group. However, most of the members, and sometimes
even the owner of the group, is long gone, back to the QMB1, or over to Facebook.
So, the newbies get discouraged, and leave; sometimes not only the Group,
but this site as well.
Wouldn't it be... marvelous
if every group that was here was active?
That could happen.. if all of the groups with absentee owners
(i.e. no use in the past year) weren't on here anymore.
Don't know if that's possible... but it would be lovely if it was.
I did up a listing of the Groups here .. took me DAYS.. to click on each link
and see what level of activity was going on in each one. Most of them..
had had no activity since 2008!! It's a waste of time to direct newbies to them.
How much easier it would be... IF the groups being advertised here were all active!!
I've rambled on long enough... just curious if my post will be read by anyone (HQ or members) and if so, if anything will be answered/ looked at/ done.
?

Re: FED UP!!
I posted that list in a blog but the only place it shows up is on my site. Sorry, I tried!

Re: FED UP!!
[red]To get colours..... don't bother clicking on the right button that says it's colour, because THAT's a COLOSSIAL waste of time!! You've got to click on "Advanced Editor" and then write the word 'red' in brackets ['s ... and also a b in brackets and then at the end of your post, you have to do the same thing, only with a / in front of it.... [/red]
Now, at the QMB... we click on the colour, and VOILA there is colour!!
Sure would be NICE if everything worked here the way it was supposed to, including our BLOGS.
??????????????????????????????????????

NO colour, NO spacing, NO blogs..... I'm going back to the QMB1 and Facebook!!!!!!!
