Re: Twins

I have a granddaughter in Las Vegas. She just turned 3. Unfortunately I don't get to see her often and my son and his wife divorced this last summer.

On the other hand, my oldest son is not able to take care of his son so my hubby and I are full time guardians. Little J will be 5 on Valentines Day. He's a handful and even though people say he will keep us young, I would most likely challenge that statement.  The RHS is what keeps me sane.

Thank you for inviting me to the group also.

Re: Twins

I have 6 grandchildren. My son has four,2 boys & 2 girls and my daughter has 2, 1 boy & 1 girl. Don't get to see my daughters 2 very often. My son's are ages 16,15,10 & 11. My 15 granddaughter got a cell phone recently and text messages me to not forget she love me.  They all give me lots of hugs and kisses when I see them. They are such a joy to me.

Re: Twins

I have 3 grandchildren - GD is 8 and twin boys are 3.  I try to see them every month (Las Vegas), and we talk on the phone almost everyday, that is because they are "men boys" and have stuff to tell Grandma!  GD is real girly we do the dress up thing and whenever I visit it is a must to give her a head full of curls.  They bring such joy to my husband that he sees and hears no-one but them when they are around and of course can do no wrong and will get his last dime.
My Son and DIL say they remember when we use to visit and they got all the attention and gifts...LOL...not anymore it's all about the babies.
Thank you for letting me share

Re: Twins

Thanks for inviting me to join your group.  I am Grammy Paula to my eight grandchildren.  Have four granddaughters, ages 14, 9, 8, and 3 and four grandsons, ages 12, 10, and two that are 6.  They are the loves of my life.  None of them live close to me so I spend a great deal of time traveling to see them.

Two granddaughters visited me just after Christmas and we went to Disneyland for the day.  We "opened" the park at 8:00 a.m. and "closed" the park at midnight.  Had a fantastic time.  Isn't it amazing how they aren't tired at all until walking back to the car?  (LOL)

It was the 8 year old's birthday so we had lunch with the characters in Goofy's Kitchen.  It was so much fun...the girls enjoyed all the characters and collected autographs.

Re: Twins

I have one precious little granddaughter who will be turning #1 on Jan. 25th. She is my pride and joy. I guess you all know about that though. I eat, sleep, and breathe her. I get to watch her four days a week for 10 hours each day. Sometimes, she comes an extra day or two. I enjoy sharing our moments together. I know just how lucky I am to have her so often and so close. My DH keeps talking about retiring and moving and it stops me in my tracks. I told him, "You wanna move? Get a motorhome!" This old broad ain't leavin my precious baby, Kacey. She is so close to walking solo. She zooms up the stairs to the bedrooms like a bullet. She sachets around like a prima-donna. She already has more tiaras than I have. I have a couple of her pics on my site. I need to update some pics of her. Kacey loves all my Red Hat decorations and bling. She is definitely a "Bling" girl. If it's true that they keep you young, then I feel like a teenager only with "mono"...lol

Re: Twins

I have one granddaughter.  All I can say to my children is "bring on the grandchildren".  I have a very large table in my formal dining room, and on holidays/family dinners, I want it full.  It seats 14 comfortably. So let's fill it up.

I kept my granddaughter for the first two years, every day that her parents worked. The other grandmother has frequent contact since she is located less than a mile away. Right now, my granddaughter lives very close, in fact, if you sing "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star about 3 times real slow, you can go from my driveway to her house. Like I said, she lives closes and that suits me just fine.

She is three, by the way and has great telephone skills. I frequently get telephone calls wherein she says "Grandma, I really, really miss you", if I haven't seen here for few days.  Sometimes she inserts the word "really" four, five, maybe six times.

My favorite thing to hear on a telephone conversation is, "Grandma I love you LOTS AND MORE.

I am looking forward to this forum being filled with stories.

Re: Twins

Well today was grocery shopping day for mom and the twins and they are allowed to pick a treat if they are good (she pushes them in the stroller and pulls the grocery cart), so one chose the fresh fruit (melons etc. cut up); the other chooses a package of cotto salami and can't wait to get home and tear into it....too funny.  The GD just called she just got tickets to see Hannah Montana and I think her head is about to pop off, apparently this is the new pre-teen rage in concerts, guess I will send money for a new concert outfit, her "first concert ever" as she says.

Re: Twins

I have 2 granddaughters from my DD, ages 13 and 16. I also have 4 grandsons from the same DD. She married her DH and he gave me 3 grandsons, 13, 17, and 7. Just last month DD and SIL gave me another grandson, he was born Jan 14th.  I also have a granddaughter from my DH, she is 19.  OMGosh, let me add. That makes 7 grands and I still have two sons that have not had any yet. Both sons are 33, one came from me, one from my DH. They are exactly 2 months apart in age so I guess that is kind of like having twins, LOL.
