There have been a lot of issues going on at home and haven't done much with the Red Hatters over the past two months. Though we have been in contact! I guess you could say we had a get-together this past Saturday but it was more Stampin' Up! group then Red Hats...BUT...it was the Red Hat gals and we DID wear color appropriate clothing! LOL I am having a lot of dental work done right now, traveling an hour away to the dentist almost weekly, sometimes twice a week! I am also undergoing lots of things tied in with having weight loss surgery - dietians, pschytherapists, apnea link ( an at home test for apnea that will tell if I need a full blown sleep apnea test. My best friend, 2nd mom, fellow Red Hatter and stampin' gal starts her radiation on Thursday the 18th for 33 treatments! She has to drive an hour away and is without a cell so my mom and I are going to go halvies on a trak phone for her. I would feel much better knowing that she had a phone with her on the drive back and forth during this wintery mix weather we are having in Michigan! I lost my 91 year old aunt this past week. We went to her funeral and the last song they sang was Feliz Navidad. She so wanted to be around for Christmas. The church was rocking, clapping and crying as we rocked the house. It was unusual but her son said "This is her Christmas present to all of you". I sang right along until it hit me this will be the first Christmas without my dad and I started crying like a baby with the feeling of great loss. My cousin and husband wrapped their arms around me to comfort me. As I type this tears are once again forming, with the feeling of loss but with the feeling of comfort that I have a loving family to help me through this time. Well, I am out for the night. Need to cook some dinner for my grandson and hubby. :) Love, Theresa |
