About Me I am equally an Introvert and an Extrovert, as determined from college profile tests.

    Economics degree.

Former stewardess with United Air Lines.... good o' days of flying.

I loved flying and had a private pilot's license when I was younger. My instructor and I loved aerobatic flying.

My husband really cringes when I tell him that I would volunteer to go into space on the shuttle.

Of course, there are times when he would like to send me into space (LOL).

Worked private industry for 20 yrs and civil service for 15 years.

    Am now retired.
Interests I really enjoy all the available information on a computer, and I research daily, as well as have fun with emails and graphics.

Enjoy theatre plays, the symphony, operas, ballet, and rodeos.

I had horses at one time (a love of mine) and enjoyed trail rides.

Was a member and officer of the Jaycees for many years, a period of great enjoyment for me, working the many community projects.

Although I don't own now and can no longer ride horses, due to a knee replacement, and not a member of the Jaycees (a young person's organization); they will be a permanent part of my life and interests.
Hobbies TV, reading, computer, and my Bichon Frise dogs, as well as the Red Hatters and my family of course! My husband and I enjoy working the daily newspaper crossword puzzle and sitting in our rocking chairs on the covered patio watching our three Bichon Frise 'babies' play in the yard.

Music Smooth jazz; classical; 40's,50's,60's; Big Band music, and pop (Barbra Streisand, Celine Dion, Diana Krall); Southern Gospel music, Gloria & Bill Gaither music shows; country music (mostly the older performers - Vince Gill, Reba, Willie Nelson, etc.); and ELVIS, of course. I saw him 3 times, the first time (I was 12 yrs old) was in a high school auditorium in Pine Bluff AR before he went West and became famous. That was the last time to ever get close to him. I was in the 3rd row from the stage. He was dressed in all RED .... exciting..... you bet!

Movies Love the old musicals!! JOHN WAYNE! Westerns. Some action movies, if there is really a story. Am biased to the movie stars of 'yesteryear'.... 40's, 50's and 60's. But the new musical movie CHICAGO is a favorite.

TV Loved "Everybody Loves Raymond", "The Nanny", the "Golden Girls."

If my husband hears me laughing, he always says: "You must be watching 'Raymond' or 'Big Mommas House' movie."

Addicted to the three Law and Order series: L&O, L&O (SVU), and L&O (CI) and NCIS.

Watch movies and FOX NEWS, . Enjoy PBS programs. Love Tom Selleck's western movies and Jesse Stone series movies.
Books Nicholas Sparks' books, and mystery writers.

And the greatest of all, the HOLY BIBLE.
    Likes Honest people. Giving people.

Red Hatters who are genuine friends. Friends who like to have fun.

    Favorite person: KING DAVID

    Person I find most amazing:

    Mother Teresa.

The most giving, unselfish person... truly the 'image of God.'

    Childhood hero: Roy Rogers

Would love to fly with one of the USAF Thunderbirds or NAVY Blue Angels, but..., my hubby would have a 'nervous breakdown'(LOL) worrying about me. That flying would be a thrill of a lifetime!

    Love my country!
Dislikes Manipulative people, users, sneaky people, and dishonest people. People who whine about their 'woe is me'. Snobs, and 'wannabes'. Cliques! Gossip!

Anti-Americans and/or desecration of our flag.

Will not even consider a cruise!! I tell folks 'no way'... I don't want to be out any further than I can swim back.. and that's not far these days. (LOL)
Vices I get angry about injustices, unfairness and corruption.

    CHOCOLATE AND MORE CHOCOLATE!
    Virtues Loyal without question!

I develop intense, deep feelings for people and causes. Trusting to a fault at times. Have a forgiving spirit.
Family Husband (Doc) is a former Major League Baseball (MLB) player/catcher for the Cleveland Indians, Kansas City Athletics, and New York Yankees; Coach for the Phillies and NY Mets; and the Manager of the Cleveland Indians.

Since retiring with MLB, he has been enjoying Independent League Baseball. My husband has four mid-age children and grandchildren. I have one mid-age son, married with a child.

Elegant Red Hatters of San Angelo TX

    Welcome!

    September 2010 (update)

    www.orgsites.com/tx/theelegantredhattersofsanangelo

The Elegant Red Hatters of San Angelo, Texas started in July 2009.

If you are ever in the area (3-1/2 hrs SW of Ft Worth, between I-10 and I-20), please feel free to contact me (325-949-3232).  I would love to meet you, and we'll have lunch or dinner and 'gab' girltalk.

My first convention was the DIVAS Wear Diamonds at the Gaylord (Ft Worth, TX) in March 2009.

We moved to San Angelo in 2007 from Vero Beach, FL.  I'm so happy to be back West out of the high 'humidity'.  I didn't think I would ever get my hubby out of the SE, but three hurricanes that hit us in Vero Beach did the trick.   He was ready to move, and he loves it here, as I do too.

I lived in Arizona 15 years, 'my heartbeat'  .... such a spiritual place with deserts, rocky mountains, and tall Saguaros.  So it was difficult for me to again live in the SE (where I was reared) with the 'sweating' humidity.

Plus, I yearn for the wide open spaces.  However, basically, I love all of the U.S.  You won't find more beautiful country than upstate NY in the fall; no prettier sugar-white sands than the Gulf beaches of Fla; the amazing California coastline; Atlanta in the springtime with dogwood blossoms {pink and white}, pear trees blooming, and azaleas; Washington DC with the cherry trees around the Potomac and town; the Smoky Mountains of NC; or the amazing Lake Michigan in Chicago.   I've never had the opportunity to visit Montana or Wyoming, which I would love to do.

I could go on about different areas ..... but suffice it to say, I'm a cowgirl at heart ... a 'flashy one with bling' of course.

I haven't owned horses for many years, but I loved mine and do love them.  In my collection was a Palomino, Quarterhorse and Appaloosa.

I look forward to hearing from my 'sister' Red Hatters and Pink Hatters.

Have a Happy Red Hat Day!
