A few years ago I discovered a great red and purple flower. It is called Bat-face Cuphea. Google it and you will see how beautiful it is.
The bush grows about 2 feet tall and 2 feet wide, so plant them accordingly.

I am an accidental gardner. A few years ago I had a volunteer to redo my flower beds and create an awesome garden. My herbs grow in a whiskey barrel. How fun is that?

I was curious to know if anyone planted winter vegetables. This year I didn't plant anything. My spot designed for vegetables needed some work. I bought my better half a Mantis tiller, hint hint.
In another spot I did plant ornamental kale; the green and also the white variety. They usually become huge and stunning.
Other than this, I didn't do anything special for winter.
What did you do?
