About Me I have been married for 27 years to a wonderful man. We have 1 son together and he has a son by a previous marriage. I have 2 grandchildren by my husband's son. Two boys that are lovable holy terrors. My son has a long-time girlfriend that he intends to marry one day. I have four wonderful dogs that were all rescued. They are the best. I still work full time outside the home. I am beginning my 20th year with the same company.

Interests I love to read when I have time. I love music and singing. I am in the church choir and will do an occasional solo. I'm a little ADHD so even though I love crafts, I will only do one once and then move on to something else. I love Red-hatting. I absolutely LOVE my dogs and would have more if I could. I love trying new things.

Hobbies My hobbies include Red-hatting, shopping, antiquing, refinishing furniture, shopping, dogs, computers, shopping, landscaping, decorating and shopping. Did I mention shopping?

Music I listen mostly to Contemporary Christian, but I love alternative rock, some rap, Classic Rock, beach music, some country, ballads, classical. I don't however like bluegrass.

Movies National Treasure, Sahara, Fried Green Tomatoes, The Replacements, Varsity Blues, Stir of Echoes, Seven, Michael, Cadence, John Q, Inside Man, Fallen, Remember the Titans, The Green Mile, My Dog Skip, A Knight's Tale, Flatliners, Lethal Weapon (all), most all Bruce Willis movies and most all Nicholas Cage movies. Don't care much for romance movies. Love horror movies if done right.

TV NCIS, Grey's Anatomy, Ghost Whisperer, CSI (all), Law and Order (all), ER, House, Bones, Numbers, Without a Trace, Cold Case, Shark, Criminal Minds, Moonlighter. Dislike all reality shows.

Books Anything by Stephen King, Dean Koontz, John Saul, Mary Higgins-Clark and most of the books Oprah recommends.

Likes I like getting a nice long massage, being loved by my dogs, singing, having my hair washed, getting a pedicure, taking a long hot bath and some alone time.

Dislikes I dislike people that are rude and think they are better than others. I dislike prejudice and all things unkind. I dislike cruelty to animals.

Hello Out There

My physical therapy has gone quite well. I feel so much stronger now than I did before. I am still having a little trouble with my shoulder but am being told it takes up to 6 months to actually heal so the pain I am having is normal. So... I head back to work on Monday. Oh my goodness. When my rehab first started I was so miserable because I was stuck at home and couldn't do anything. Well, now that I'm better and can drive and clean the house, guess what? Yep, I DON'T want to go back to work. Ughh!! Getting up at the crack of dawn, facing Charlotte traffic (I live 8 miles from work and it takes me 30 minutes to drive it), and the politics. Oh well, that's what I signed up for.

Thank you all for your well wishes during my recovery period. You made it bearable.

Recouperating from surgeries

I had my surgeries 2 weeks ago and I am doing very well with my physical therapy. I can't go back to work until April 7th. I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing. I do seem to be going a little stir crazy since I can't drive yet. My DH has been wonderful to me. He takes me where I need to go and waits on me when he gets home. I'll be glad when I'm back 100% though. The doctor said eventually I'll need a shoulder replacement. Ugh. I hope not for a long time.
