Welcome to YOU!! I start every day, by having a quiet time with my Lord. Sometimes, it's with the daily devotion that comes into my Inbox. Sometimes, it's through reading my "Daily Bread". Sometimes, it's through my women's "Devotional Bible". Whatever means I use.. depending where I am.. it doesn't matter. What is important, is.. that I start the day off with communication with my Lord Jesus. Please join me! I'd love to share some of these Bible verses, and daily readings with you. And I would like you to share yours with all of us who are involved in this group. Where two or more are gathered in His name, there shall He be. Welcome!

    Last Call for this Group...

It was previously called *Daily Devotions*

However, that was easy to do in the Winter
when I was house-bound, but not so easy
in the warmer months of the year.
Sometimes, the time I took to post
them here, left me with no time
    for my own devotions!

    I changed the name...
    still no posts from others.

The "indoor" season is coming up again.

However, I can open up a thread in the
    Spiritual Section of HATQUARTERS,
AND the old QMB1, if I wish to share
my daily devotions and Bible verses
    with my RHS sisters.

    UNLESS this group becomes used
(i.e. members are posting) in the next
week or so, I will be closing it out.

It was never meant to be just
ME writing here, it was meant
    for PARTICIPATION.

Please, make a comment, post in
the forum, or message me, IF you
read (or have read) things in this
Group at any time in the past few
    months (June >>August).
    Thanks!!

A Month's, or Two, or Three....
    Worth of Positive Thoughts

    Working Backwards, so that
the newest are at the top.

Even though June has receded into
    history, I'm starting there.
You could read a week's worth
at a time, and then you'll be
    caught up in no time.
    I'll post August's sometime
during the latter part of July.

AUGUST to follow Above / JULY below

31 - God's call may come at any time -- so be ready all the time!
30 - It's not how long you live that counts, but how you live.
29 - Nothing is more pleasing to God than
self-sacrifice that grows out of obedience.
28 - The what of our future is determined by the who of eternity.
27 - To love god is to obey God.
    26 - Nothing surprises God.
25 - When troubles call on you, call on God.
24 - Nothing is stronger than strength under god's control.
23 - To get better with age, get spiritually fit.
22 - Though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor,...
but have not love, it profits me nothing. --- 1 Cor. 13:3
21 - When believers influence each other for good,
the body of Christ remains healthy.
20 - God's timing is perfect -- even in death.

07 - The way of obedience is the way of blessing.
06 - The church is not a select circle for a few,
but a spiritual center open to all.
05 - When God shows you a problem, He may ask you to be His solution.
04 - Salvation is infinitely costly, but absolutely free.

Weekend Devotions from Our Daily Bread

Sunday, May 25, 2008, 10:33 AM EST [General]
    Posted By: Mitsie

Because it's Sunday, I thought I'd share my Devotions.

Daily Devotional from Our Daily Bread

    Friday, May 23, 2008

    Read the complete Devotional at:
    http://www.rbc.org/devotionals/our-daily-bread/2008/05/23/devotion.aspx

    Heart Disease

    Bible Reading: Zechariah 7: 8-14

    Focus on Verse Psalm 95:8
    Do not harden your hearts.

Ask God to bring to mind a person
who needs the helop of someone with
    a soft heart.
    -Julie Ackerman Link

If I can right a human wrong,
If I can help to make one strong,
If I can cheer with smile or song,
    Lord, show me how.
    -Kleiser

    Today's Positive Thought:

To love Christ is to have a heart for others.

    Saturday, May 24, 2008

You may read the complete Devotional at:

    Getting What You Want

    Bible Reading: Luke 12: 15, 22-34

    Focus on Verse Luke 12:15
One's life does not consist in the
abundance of the things he possesses.

Jesus said, "Take head and beware of
    covetousness" because one day, like
the rich fool in the parabel in Luke 12,
we will leave it all behind.
That's when we'll have more than we
ever dreamed of. In the meantime,
God promises to care for our needs --
    no matter what the circumstances.
    And that's no secret.
    --Anne Cetas

I know not by what methods rare
    The Lord provides for me;
I only know that all my needs
    He meets so graciously.
    --Adams

    Today's Positive Thought:

    God has promised to supply
all our needs, not all our wants.

    Building Bridges

You may read the complete Devotional at:
    http://www.rbc.org/devotionals/our-daily-bread/2008/05/25/devotion.aspx

    Bible Reading: Acts 9: 17-27

    Focus on Verse Acts 9:27
    Barnabas took him
and brought him to the apostles.

    New believers need a Barnabas
in their lives. Find ways that you
can be a bridge in the lives of others.
    --Marvin Williams

Oh, I would be to others
    A cheering ray of light,
    Inspiring them with courage
    To climb some newfound height!
    --Bosch

    Today's Positive Thought:

    Be a bridge of encouragement
    to someone today.
