Fall is here- the trees have been gorgeous in their bright orange and red colors. They are now falling and most of the trees are almost bare. Why do they look better on the trees than on the ground?
Yesterday we had the coldest weather since February. Today we are having snow flurries- I hope it doesn't last. I have a bus trip tomorrow to Peddler's Village in Pa. with my friends Donna and Diane. The trip is a Christmas gift from Donna for Diane and me. We do something every year together to celebrate the holidays.
Yesterday I went to a Red Hat luncheon with the Jersey Girls group- I belong to this group plus have my own chapter. It was at Tomasello Winery in Hammonton- down the road from where I live. It was very nice.
My grandson Evan was 3 on the 6th of November. I can't believe it- it seems like only yesterday that we were waiting for his birth. Of course he had a Cars birthday party- his favorite.
Happy Thanksgiving to all my sisters- may you be truly blessed.

It has been quite awhile since my last post. I have really been busy going back and forth from Woodbine to home. We usually leave Thursday afternoon to go down and return on Sunday. We closed up on Saturday for the season. I have posted pictures from the beginning until the end of our summer place. It has really been great.
Hugs and kisses to all my red and pink hat sisters.

It has been ages since I posted. We moved into our new vacation home on the 17th of Aug. and I have been busy ever since. We are going back and forth at least once a week. The camground closes Nov. 1 so things will go back to semi-normal. We are enjoying ourselves immensely. I still want to post some pictures.
Jen went back to work on Tuesday so we will be babysitting on Mondays and Wednesdays. John has Barbershop rehearsals on Monday nights and I need to visit my Mom in long term care. Who said there is nothing to do when you retire?
Well, this is all I have time for now. Have a great Red Hat Day!!!

I don't know where time goes!! .... but it does fly by quickly. I've been checking the board when I can but haven't had time to post. Tomorrow my best friends daughter is getting married. It should be very nice.
Wednesday I went to a Red Hat luncheon with the Jersey Girls. There were about 30 ladies there. There's usually more- I guess it was too hot. Some of the ladies do not like going when it is a buffet,
We are in the middle of a heat wave right now. I'm enjoying the air conditioning.
Wednesday night we went to the carnival in Hammonton and walked around. It's a big event that St. Josephs Church has been doing for years. Wednesday is the highlight of the week. They have a big parade in the afternoon with statues of the Saints and people put money on them. (I've never gone to the parade) Wednesday night they had fireworks for the first time in 20 years. We ended up at a friends daughter's house (unplanned) and watched the fireworks from there. It's fun when things happen spontaneously like that.
Have a nice weekend.

A special thank you to all my Red and Pink Hat sisters for their prayers and concerns. Jen is doing much better now. She still has the boot on her leg and is able to get around without crutches.
This should be our last week of babysitting for the summer except for appointments. She feels she will be able to take care of Evan by herself next week. She still gets tired lugging that boot around on her leg. Right now she has been getting migraines. I guess she inherited them from me. What a nuisance.
The weather has been great. I still haven't planted my morning glories.
Tomorrow is a Red Hat adventure to Philadelphia to the Water Works for a tour and then lunch at the Water Works Restaurant. After that we are going to ride the Ducks. It should be a fun day.
Have a great Red Hat day!!!!

Well, I think summer has arrived a few days early. It was 96 yesterday with a heat index of 101 degrees. I enjoyed the air conditioning most of the day. I had to babysit so I brought Evan down my house and we stayed inside.
I took Jen to the doctors on Friday and they put a boot on her leg. This doctor wants her to have an MRI done on her leg. She has alot of ligament damage. She went back to work yesterday but I haven't talked to her. When Rich picked Evan up he stopped home first and Jen was asleep so he didn't know how her day went.
Today is Jen's 36th birthday. I can't believe it. Where does time go?
I'm having a Father's Day brunch at my house on Sunday. This has been a family tradition for awhile now. I hope the weather is not too hot so we can be outside and barbeque. I need to have an alternative menu in case we end up in the air conditioning. We also celebrate Mary's birthday- the oldest member of my Red Hat group- she will be 88.
Well, I have things I need to get done.
Have a great Red Hat day!!!!!

Thank you for all your prayers and concerns for Jen, I really appreciate it.
Jen's doctor says her head is fine now but he was concerned about her leg. He ordered 2 scans on her leg. She has severe ligament damage and has to have it casted. I'm taking her this afternoon to have it done.
She talked to the school again and she said they were alittle bit nicer. Their only concern, though, was her head. They didn't make any comment about her leg. She is suppose to go back to work on Monday. Thank God it is her left leg and she can drive- also her car is automatic. School will be done soon and then she can rest over the summer.
Life will be interesting with Evan. He is a very active, normal, little boy who will be 3 in November. Rich is a great husband and Dad and gives Jen alot of support.
Have a great Red Hat Day,
