Personal Quote I am so happy to be here with you (and mean it).
About Me Wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, working and like what I do (all of it). Friendships are priceless to me.
Interests Stealing my time to be with my sister Red Hatters. I love to develope new products and promote them. If I can really help someone and they have ask me to, I love it.
Hobbies Photography, scrapbooking and making jewelry are a few hobbies.
Music I love most music. If it doesn't make me move it doesn't work for me. Theme for "Last of the Mohicans" is one of my favorite movie titles.
Movies We have a 1800 dvd collection of movies. I love the Indiana Jones trilogy. I love any movie that advanced photography techniques.
TV We watch the Discovery Channel, Nature Channel and the Sci Fi Channel quite a bit.
Books It seems the amount of time that I have for reading has to do with my business. Embroidery is constantly changing in designs, threads backings, machinery, digitizing software and requires constant attention to be successful.
Likes Love being socially envolved with any of my Red Hat sisters. Love going to any and all Red Hat parties and events.
Dislikes Someone that always gripes about anything. People with too much time on their hands and has nothing but a negative attitude toward others that are doers while they sit ready to criticize.
Vices Over-achiever not able to ask for help when someone could lighten the load. Depend on people to volunteer and then I feel they really want to help.
Family Husband, daughter, granddaughter and great granddaughter
    Are you a Mother? Yes
    Are you a Grandmother? Yes
Pet(s) Two border collie dogs that are four years old. They do not know that they are dogs and please do not tell them.

Things we do can bring us new friends!

A couple of years ago I decided that I would love to corresponde with some of our Red Hat sisters abroad.  I started communicating with a wonderful lady in South Africa.  When the horrible rains came last year and  there wasn't any shelter, food or clothing she set herself a task.   She took thousands and thousands of heavy duty green garbage bags and duct tape and showed the people how to make sleeping bags to stay warm and dry.  She traveled all over to do this on her own.  She did this selflessly.  I am so happy to report that she is a type that would never seek recognition but was indeed recognized for her generosity.

I then got acquainted with a Queen mother and her daughter from one chapter and a second Queen from another chapter in Australia.  As of this week they have made me International.  I have sent my first chair back covers "down under".  I have taken the libery of inserting some samples so that you will know what I am talking about.  I have gotten so wrapped up in doing the art that I forget the time.  It's great to do what you like.  If you have one of these on your chair others definetly know the "seat is taken".  Have you ever been at an event, put something down to mark your place" returned to find out your things were moved to another table!  At one time or another it has happened to most of us.

Have a great Red Hat Day.

Shan's Red Hat Mommas in Cincinnati, OH

    Friday, December 21, 2007, 7:14 PM [General]

I have never participated in an open conversation via e-mail before.  I hope this is a way

to stay informed about what is going on and where.  I know a calender is available but I

learned last year that many of the events in my five state area are never posted on the

calender.  It is interesting to see what my sister Red Hatters are interested in with the spare

time they have available, some of us more than others.  I will look forward to spending the

    written time with you.
