    About Me Married to Douglas for 13 years and he is the person who pushed me to join the Red Hat Society. I've been a member since 2002, Queen Mum of Classic Elegance Red Hatters in Dallas, a chapter I founded. We've recently moved to Alamogordo and absolutely love it here. I was blessed with three great grandsons last year and by December a total of three more great grandsons this year. I do so much long for a baby girl to dress up! I am a citizen of the Cherokee Nation in Oklahoma.
    Interests I am a late blooming author and have written and published my memoir and am now writing a series about Cherokee Indians loosely based on the lives of my ancestors, of which, two books in the series have published.
    Hobbies I used to quilt, but found I couldn't serve two masters when I took up writing. Reading is a favorite pastime, traveling and attending civic functions. I also have a blog under my pen name cccrittenden.blogspot.com where I write about various subjects.
    Music Am into all genres of music except heavy metal. Really prefer 30's and 40's Big Band sounds.
    Movies Romance, mysteries, drama, some action as long as it isn't too radical.
    TV Betty White, Jay Leno, Wheel of Fortune, The Good Wife, Revenge, etc.
    Books 50 Shades of Gray, The Scarlet Letter, Autobiographies, Memoir, History
    Likes Good food, good friends, the Red Hat Society, family, mountains and desert
    Dislikes Negativity in any form, procrastination, complaining without action to rectify, cleaning house, so I do it very quickly to get it out of the way.
    Vices Chocolate, a bit of wine now and then, some slothfulness, tend to watch too much TV.
    Virtues Tempered honesty, empathetic and sympathetic, good listener, generous, loving, loyal and kind, (well, I was a Girl Scout and I took my oath seriously!)
    Family Married five times, four children (2 girls 2 boys), eldest daughter deceased, 10 grandchildren by way of dotted lines on family tree, and almost 9 great grandchildren, my adorable husband, Doug, who has made my life the best it could possibly be. Sometimes a girl has to kiss a few toads before she finds her prince!
