Whoopee - I got myself a scooter! This is basically because of my bad back, hips, knees, and hips. I already swore to myself that I would use this when I run errands around town and use it like it was a car. I will however be storing it inside (in the walkway) outside my apartment so that it will be easily accessible. Where I live there are MUCHO Amigo's (I live in a senior citizen complex) so seeing an Amigo in the hallway is not an exception by any sorts. Mine is blue and has two baskets attached to it - which will come in handy when I do my grocery runs. One basket is in the front and the other is placed right behind my hiney and is attached to my seat. My scooter also has 4 wheels (instead of the usual 3) due to I'm tall - 6'0, and this gives me more leg room plus it is sturdier.
The days of riding my bicycle are long behind me, I fear. I used to love riding my bike not only for health reasons but it was my only mode of transportation other than my little ol' legs. The reason for my ending my bike riding? No, thank God I didn't fall ... I'm stopping due to lack of being nimble. You try to hike your leg up and around the seat, my friends. (Yes I do have a girl's bike, but with bad knees I can't bend my leg like that anymore so I have had to hike it up and around the seat to mount the bike.) I will be donating my bike to a society that gives bikes away for free to those who need one and can't afford one. Midland (the town I live in) has a bike drive sometime in the spring so I will be storing it in my storage locker until then.
Today I'm going to hang around the house and play Domestic Diva, I use my scepter to scrape the dirty dishes, use my feathered boa to dance and dust, etc. You have a great day and remember to live life to the fullest and not to take life so seriously by laughing whenever you can.
