YEAH...I KNOW....FUNNY TITLE, THIS!!

Birds never seem to amaze me...and I love the coming of Spring ~ soon ~ and cannot be around the corner quick enough to suit me, I can tell you all that!!

I have seen Robins once again..a sure sign of spring. Little Buntings have been scampering around ~ all puffed up ~ because there has been a few inches of snow though it will and should disappear tomorrow and the next day. But, with all the snow and the cold temperatures ~ those who though spring had almost arrived ~ got a very big surprise last night.

I think of those little feet with their claws clutching branches swinging in the cold, cold night...and I wonder for their safety and well-being.

It will soon be time for all the little birds to return ~ and, since I feed an abundance of Yellow Finches ~ I cannot wait to set up even more of those shepard hooks with the little stocking sacks of Finch Feed...

They are so comical in their antics...waiting on top of the Shepard's Hook for their turn ~ and, while they feed above..the doves lumber around on the ground, catching many a thousand little seeds that have been dropped.

For me, in the early morning hours, with spring around the corner ~ and my hot cup of coffee in hand, I quietly approach the wicker chair on my covered porch and wait the first signs of life at the feeders once again.

May we all enjoy their antics ~ and may we all be quiet enough to be given such a joyous gift ~ of watching from afar ~ yet feeling the joy in our hearts for these tiny and busy creatures!!
