On July 31st I went to the W.C. Handy Street Strut in Florence, AL. The Street Strut is a yearly parade. There were 10 Red Hat Society members who showed up, although I thought there would be more of us there. There were 2 sporty cars set up to represent us. There were 6 happy ladies riding in the cars and 4 of us walked and waved to the crowd that was lined up on both sides of  the street. I didn't mind walking, it was an exciting event for a first timer and I really enjoyed being in this parade. I had a lot of fun.
