Acknowledgement of a Red Hat Society fun day. The theme was  "love letters from the Past".  This was a life changing event for first time musicians Bethany brown and Jason Sutton, who entertained us with perzizze.

Yes, the red that's what Red Hatting is all about;  friendship and sisterhood. This event was a Valentine Day's Celebration. "Love letters from the past was our theme. It was all about Love, Life on hold, and remembering the good old days.  About 1940-44 with WW I I and our men were in the military. There was the joy of receiving a nice love letters.  We had a fun filled Lunch. We remembered our lives in song, table decorations, short talks/stories and love Letter from the past.

Entranced in ambiance, The Cabaret Ladies experienced Eclectic Fusion cuisine at Versailles Fine Dining Restaurant/Banquet Facility with elegant French cuisine, beautiful table settings and entertainment provided by Bethany Brown & Saxophonist  Jason Sutton.

A very special thanks E. Rebecca, the most multifaceted CEO and owner of Versailles' Dinning, who did a wonderful job with the decoration and our romantic collection of historical notes and letters of love [booklets].

And on Wednesday May 28th 2008 at 2:00 PM we met for a well deserved quiet time at the Grand Carribean East Beach Resort!

FOLEY, Ala. - The Foley Red Hat Society planed a "Paint the Town Red" weekend from April 24 to April 26. And the news in The Town Talk section of the newspaper  "Pensacola Red Hatters (Acabaretlady) win prizes in Foley competition:"

To kickoff the weekend festivities all the ladies will attended the Music and Movie in Heritage Park where there was a hula-hoop contest and twisting. The theme for the evening is 1950s and the ladies wore proper attired in our purple poodle skirts.

On Saturday, the Red Hat Parade rolled through downtown Foley. After the parade the ladies won prizes for best float and attended a fashion show. There were over 300 ladies participating.  There were Chapters from Mississippi, Louisiana, Florida and all over Alabama traveling to Foley to take part in the weekend's events.

This was a special weekend for the "A Cabaret ladies," Red Hatters Chapter of Pensacola who took both 1st prize for table decoration and 2nd place for the best Float decoration. Thanks to our creative members. We Painted The Town Red. This celebration is an annual event of The Red Hat Society's Birthday. This year marks the tenth anniversary of the national Red Hat Society.

The festivities were a three-day weekend event; including a great Elvis impression concert a the Civic Center ,  a movie in the park and a parade through the streets of Foley. Groups from all over both Florida and Alabama participated. Dinner and socializing were enjoyed by all.
